Gorgeous 19-teens era antique oak lowboy dresser, hand painted in rich General Finishes Lamp Black and finished with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Flat. This dresser features 2 large drawers painted inside and out in a beautiful sea blue green color. The drawer sides are stenciled in General Finishes Lamp Black in a complementary pattern to the sides of the dresser.  The drawers are finished in the same General Finishes High Performance Top Coat inside and out.

This vintage dresser is an absolute stunner! Its French Provincial curves are timeless and gorgeous, and the color was updated for a modern farmhouse style of chic that is an instant classic! The top has been refinished in a "driftwood" style with layers and blends of General Finishes Walnut and Weathered Gray water based stains, and the body painted with Antique White milk paint and thoughtfully distressed. The hardware was updated with a silver leafing wax for a gorgeous antiqued look. This style is versatile, timeless, and oh-so-fresh and gorgeous!

The black beauty was in sad state when I picked her up. She was missing trim, vaneer chipped, and lifting, water stains, foot piece missing, and loose doors. 

Refinished in Lamp Black and Java Gel stain. 

Updated this old dresser for a little girl. using Snow white.  We then pinstriped bottom drawers with a gray. and sealed with High  Profomace finish. Added new hardware.

I am so in love with this lingerie dresser! So much time and effort went into polishing all the brass hardware. This dresser was painted in Lamp Black milk paint and new drawer pulls from Hong Kong were added. All of the drawers were lined in coordinating fabric, with the top interior drawers featuring drawer dividers. It's like a life size jewelry box! 

This beautiful French Provincial dresser was painted it Antique White Milk paint and top coated with Enduro Satin clear poly. 

These well made Stanley tables were blah. They need an update! I painted them with a custom mix of Antique White and (just a touch) of Slate Gray. Then in I sealed the tables. I sanded the top down but was unsure what color to stain them so I waited. I removed all of the dates brass hardware and  painted it a bright copper. I glazed the hardware with a light coat of Pitch Black Glaze and sealed it with spray shellac. Once the copper hardware was reattached I knew what color to stain the tops.

It's extremely hard for me to do a single color when I have no restrictions on a piece. Using pitch black glaze over antique white highlighted the curves and details of what was once a very beat up vintage buffet. She truly became a piece of art. 

Lately I have been stepping out of my comfort zone when it comes to painting. It started with creating a shade of green I fell in love with. Then I decided to do a colorblock pattern on a few dressers. I knew I wanted something bold so I decided to do something -- an asymmetrical two-tone. I refinished half of the drawers and the legs with a custom mix of General Finishes Antique Walnut and Java Gel Stain. The rest of the desk was primed with General Finishes Stainblocker before I painted the rest in Antique White.

This buffet is painted in Lamp Black with Flat Out Flat Top Coat. I love how the FOF gave it a frosty matte finish! 

Beautiful elegant black buffet with gold accents.  I painted with Lamp Black Milk Paint, artfully distressed to reveal the original mahogany finish.  Protected with High Peformance Top Coat in Satin and highlighted accents in gold guilting wax. I gave th hardware a makeover too to complete the look.

We picked this beauty up outside Chicago! We bought this from a client that was moving and simply didn't have the means to move or upcycle. She took a bit of work, but we feel it all paid off! She's hand painted in General Finishes Lamp Black, then distressed with the hardware left in its natural state...we sealed her in General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in a Flat finish! This gorgeous highboy empire was screaming for help when I snagged it! I repaired the drawers, filled, sanded, and glued pieces back into place! 

I decided it was I need of a timeless finish with a good coat of General Finishes Lamp Black, light distressing, and beautiful crystal knobs to finish! I wish the pics would show how much they sparkle off of this beauty...

This beautiful, yet beat up, Bernhardt Sideboard was in need of some love. Prior to this project I hadn't used Milk Paint on any projects, though I was already solidly in love with Java Gel stain. This seemed like a great starter project for milk paint and Antique White was the perfect color.

Unique chest style coffee table, refinishes with a custom wash using five shades, ranging from charcoal to snow white. The black hardware was redone is a rusty finish and the chest was topped with a gorgeous transfer. 

When I found this 1980's dining room set sitting forlorn on the floor of my local thrift store, I knew I'd found a diamond in the rough. I was so excited, I almost cried. I had never seen a dining table with details carved into the top! I thought about how to transform it for almost three months. I'd found a patent sticker on the underside of the table and in my research, I found that the design was patented in the early 1980's and was based on a French Gothic design from a furniture encyclopedia from the 1930's.

This pretty dresser has been transformed with a little white paint and a refinished wood top.  The simple, yet classic look will last for years to come.  The base of this was painted in Snow White Milk Paint while the top was refinished, stained with Antique Oak water based stain and sealed with Arm-R-Seal.  

Betty Boop, Polka dots, houndstooth and "fluff" adorn this Art Deco Vanity done in General Finishes Lamp Black.  The Art Deco Images were decopauged on the drawer fronts using mod podge and enhanced with baubles on the earrings, the handbag and pink fluff on the bodice. The entire piece was sealed in General Finishes High Performance Topcoat in Satin.  

A sophisticated statement wrapped in the most modest of dress, this madam is simply a showstopper. The unadulterated essence of vintage chic, she swathed in a coat of General Finishes' antique white, turning out a stark show of unparalleled style: brilliant and beautiful, simple and sexy.

 

Refreshed with a coat of nourishing furniture salve, her lovely legs remain au natural, a rustic reminder of her grace, strength and age. Her past is what makes her, and she's not ashamed to show it. 

 

With its gorgeous curves, abundance of legs and French provincial style that I love, this piece is a classic!  Equally comfortable as a desk or vanity, this piece is pretty with a purpose.  Refinished using General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain on top and Antique White Milk Paint for the body.

This bedroom set was finished using General Finishes milk paint in Lamp Black. I used wax as a resist in areas I wanted a worn look. Complete set was top coated with General Finishes High Performance in flat.

A classic piece of updated furniture. 

The drawers were decoupaged with antique sheet music, and vintage Bakelite and brass pulls complete the look. 

The dark frame was selectively distressed, with bold stripes on the sides, done with a blend of General Finishes Antique White, with a wash of GF Empire Grey. 

The top was finished with 2 coats of GF high-performance satin top coat for extra durability.

We happened upon this desk at a local garage sale! She was a cutie and we fell in love! We brought her home, washed her up and started her new look! We hand painted her in GF Lamp Black, distressed her then sealed her with GF High Performance Top Coat in a Satin finish! She's a beauty~ We hope you love!

This beautiful ornate French desk was painted in a General Finishes French vanilla, and antique dark stained. The top was finished with General Finishes grey gel stain. 

This absolutely stunning Vintage Secretary Desk has been handpainted with my custom made chalk paint recipe using Sherwin Williams Arrid Sands. I then meticulously glazed this beauty using Black Antiquing Glaze. All exposed wood has been stained using General Finishes Java Gel Stain. 18k Gold Leaf has been applied to all hardware. This desk has been sealed in General Finishes High Performance Top Coat to ensure many years of lasting durability!

This beautiful treasured chest was hidden in a garage when I spied it and brought her home. After a careful cleaning and sanding, and a lot of deliberation on color choice I decided that this classic beauty needed classic colors. The obvious choice was of course Antique White Milk Paint and Java Gel Stain. However I did not want the gel stain to be too dark so the first layer of stain used was actually Antique Walnut, then I applied the Java. The walnut gave the piece a nice warm undertone.

This hand built desk was in need of some very serious TLC when I picked it up. Scratched, loose, missing the glass and badly re-stained at some point in it's life but so much potential!  The body of the desk was refinished using General Finishes Lamp Black, moderately distressed and then sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in flat. The interior of the shelves and the cubbie was left original for added contrast. The glass in the doors was replaced. The original hardware was left unaltered.

I was so excited to find a bonnet top dresser in rough condition because I really wanted to paint one!  This piece has such beautiful lines, details and hardware I decided to keep the paint simple. I sanded the piece with 220 and cleaned with the denatured alcohol and water solution.  I used my Wagner Flexio sprayer and Snow White Milk Paint to apply several light coats.  Light sanding between coats with a flexible sanding pad to ensure a smooth finish.  I did get some spots of bleed through as I was painting.

With her elegant curves, winged mirrors, scrolled detailing and rich hardware this lady is ready to be the focal point of any room.  She's painted in General Finishes Antique White and her drawer fronts are stained with General Finishes Java Gel stain.  The beautifully smooth finish has been sealed with General Finishes High Performance Topcoat in Satin.  The original pulls on the bottom drawers were refreshed with Oil rubbed bronze spray paint and lightly highlighted with Rub n Buff in Antique gold.  

I had original painted this DF style table top with Java Gel Stain, & reupholstered the seats in a floral pattern w/ Antique White milk paint. BUT along came the sweetest lady that purchased it & wanted it all white with gray seats to match her decor..... So I began its 2nd update. Resanding & painting everything in GF Snow White & adding  her chosen fabric. Sealed it all with 3 coats of GF High Performance Top Coat in Satin.  I will add my 1st update as the last picture.

This chest is painted in Antique White with HPTC Flat. The veneer got an over haul and you would never know! I had a hard time deciding on weather to do this timeless piece black of white. White won! Definitely a classic piece! 

Simple classic buffet cabinet, refinished in Antique White with Cherry Wood top and drawers.

My client had this awkward three drawer shelf and had the brillinat idea to turn the last drawer into a wine rack. So thats what I did! The second drawer is now a shelf for wine glasses and we left the top drawer for random other things. I primed it, spray painted it white and did a gel stain top and legs. 

This buffet has been refinished in General Finishes Milk Paint in Antique White and pearl-ized using Champagne Pearl Effects. The classic white with a pearl touch serves this buffett well. 

This Lane cedar chest was in great shape, but just needed a facelift to modernize it.  New feet were added as well as a new child safety lock.  Painted in Rustoleum Flat Black and distressed, it was protected with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat Flat.   

Love this cabinet that sold in 2 hours! This modern cabinet was painted in Fusion Mineral Paint - Bedford with Ash enveloping the upper body! This has been sealed with High Performance Flat, my go-to for sealing.

Antique White & Driftwood are my favorite pairing!  This large hutch was completely refinished using General Finsishes Antique White Milk Paint, moderately to heavily distressed on the outer edges and sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in satin. The interior was refinished in General Finishes Driftwood Milk Paint and sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in flat. The original hardware received a new black coating. This featured two side doors that opened up to a nice shelving area and three deep drawers.

The gorgeous curves on the drawers of this buffet give it such a classic and timeless look. Painted in Antique White Milk Paint, its the perfect blend of modern and traditional built with lasting construction for its new owner to enjoy for years to come!

I have a soft spot for storage coffee tables so when I found this one I had to buy it.  I think black paint with stained tops are so classic so that is what I decided to do with this piece.  I painted the base with Lamp Black Milk Paint and lightly distressed around the edges for some added texture.  The top had such a gorgeous grain once I sanded the previous finish off so I wanted to make sure the grain would still be visable.  I used Java Gel Stain on the top; brushing on with a foam brush and wiping off the excess.  One coat is all I needed for a nice dark finish.

Wow, what a job this was!  This gorgeous china cabinet was brought to us for a new look.  Our clients decided to go with Lamp Black on the majority of the cabinet and Antique White on the inside for some contrast.  The detail was highlighted with Burnished Pearl Effects.  Then finished with HP Semi-Gloss.  What a statement piece!

Oversized Dresser, refinished in Lamp Black Milk paint and lightly distressed to highlight the warm wood tones and graceful curves. The entire top was sanded down and stained Java, coordinating beautifully with the natural wood color.

A client of mine wanted something different for her new living space, as her walls were going to be a light gray. We spoke about what color she wanted and Lamp black is what we went for which gave this piece a new modern updated look. A little bit of distressing was also given to show some of the wood underneath. 

An elegant update to this feminine piece. Subtle two toned look with gold hardware that pops. 

This jeweler's bench was a custom job.  The top and back trim was sanded down, given a coat of wood conditioner and stained with Minwax Dark Walnut.  The remainder of the piece was painted with Rustoleum flat black paint and heavily distressed, followed by General Finishes High Performance Top Coat Flat for long-lasting protection.

Oh la la Paris!  This adorable gossip bench was revived in General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint with Champagne Pearl Affects Metallic on top and sealed with High Performance Satin Top Coat. To top it off it was reupholstered in this gorgeous Paris themed material. 

This petite french provincial buffet was refinished using General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint, moderately distressed and sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in flat. The top was stripped, cleaned, sanded, stained using General Finishes Java Gel and sealed with several coats of General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in flat. This featured two doors that opened to a deep shelving area. It measured 49" x 16" x 26.5".

This antique Jacobean Buffet was given a timeless makeover using classic General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint. We handpainted this stunning piece for a bit of a textured finish and then distressed through on all of the beautiful curves and details for added contrast. The body was sealed in two coats of High Performance in Flat to add just a bit of extra sheen and protection. The top was completely refinished in a dark Walnut stain and topped with General Finishes High Performance in Flat for a more natural matte wood look and feel.

We took an outdated office credenza and gave it a total updated look by painting with General Finishes Lamp Black and adding all new hardware. This one is a keeper! It is now in my office and not only looks incredible but also very functional too!

When I came across the 5 Minute Designer Knobs project from apieceofrainbow.com I knew I had to use them on a dresser!  Months later I found the dresser missing hardware and knew these would be perfect  

After proper prep, the dresser was painted with Snow White Milk Paint by brush. The wood knobs were prepped and painted with Coastal Blue Milk Paint.  The decoupage design was  applied and sealed with several coats of HPTC. 

I love the contrast of the Coastal Blue and Snow White together!  

I love coming across dressers and chests like these because you can do SO many different things with them. I wanted a more modern look for this vintage dresser, so I created a two-tone look and updated the hardware. I lightly sanded the body and drawers before I applied General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint and used General Finishes Flat Out Flat Topcoat. I lightly polished the legs to finish the look. 

This french provincial dresser was given a contemporary "new do" for a night out in Paris.  Adorned in all black using Amy Howard One-Step paint, this dresser was richly and boldly accessorized with classic gold trim.  A coat of General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Satin polished off the stylish fresh look.

Gave these two beautiful chairs a brand new look something clean and modern. I updated the fabric and was able to paint these 2 with General finishes Lamp black.

This adorable little table for 2 was refinished with General Finishes Lamp Black on the chairs and table top and General Finishes Antique White for the table base. It was then sealed in Gerenral Finishes High Performance Top coat!

Martha would be so proud of what the sewing cabinets have become. This gorgeous piece has been revived with General Finishes Black Pepper chalk paint and Antique White milk paint. It's drawers were highlighted with tinted brown glaze and her feet were slightly dipped with Metallic. 

This is a Drexel sideboard from the Triune collection, circa 1960s. The top was stripped, sanded, stained using General Finishes Java Gel and then sealed with General Finished High Performance Top Coat in Satin. The body of the sideboard was refinished using General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint, lightly distressed on outer edges and sealed with General Finished High Performance Top Coat in Satin. The left door opened up to two deep shelves, the middle two doors opened up to three large drawers which were also refinished, and the right door opened up to small drawer and one deep shelf.

Instead of going on a honeymoon like most couples after their wedding, my husband and I took all of our savings into buying our dream home and fixing it up. Being young, first time home owners, we knew that would mean doing a lot of "fixing up" ourselves. I loved our living room upon buying the house. I loved the built-ins and the brick fireplace. However they didn't quite fit the bright, clean, modern look I was wanting. I knew pretty much immediately, that one way I wanted to brighten up the room was by painting the mantle and built-ins a bright white.

Every once in awhile you come across a furniture piece and its clear from the start what needs to be done. This vintage dresser was screaming Apothecary. After removing two of the drawers, we then painted the body in General Finishes Lamp Black and used a diluted stain for the drawers. The entire cabinet then was heavily distressed, we wanted a rustic finsih. New card catalog hardware along with caster wheels were added to finish off the piece.

 

Recently revived with an off white paint, lightly distressed and finished with High Performance Top Coat for protection and dark wax to show off incredible details.  Original hardware on the double doors open for lots of storage space.

An old maple Cabinet turned wine bar has been painted in General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint then sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat. The top has been painted using an oiled bronze with just a hint of shimmer to add a bit of glamour

A tragedy turned true love, this manly piece of mahogany eye-candy had been used and abused in the worst of ways. But where one sees waste, another sees wonder, and so his new owner saw fit to entrust this delicate babe into my capable hands. And what was ghastly is now gorgeous, a true testimate to hope and faith in second chances.

 

We took this beautiful China cabinet from a stain finish to a beautiful faint grey with black glaze 

Meet "Lady White"

i knew the moment I saw her she wanted to be stunning and now she is! Cleaned lightly  sanded I painted in Sherwin Williams Dover White with Webster's Chalk Paint Powder additive. General Finishes Van Dyke Brown glaze to give an aged look.

This gorgeous little cabinet never found a new home because I simply HAD to keep it. Refinished in antique white, this cabinet had quite the transformation. From ugly brown with large dated hardware to clean and white with label pulls. I just love it! 

Retro round end table from the Globe Furnuiture Company refinished in General Finishes Lamp Black and sealed in General Finishes High Performance Top Coat

This winning piece, although not so winning when I first found it, had serious potential to be a show stopper. I looked past the cosmetic issues, from the nailed on trim edge, to its broken down back panels. These where easy fixes. To me it was simple...black and brown together, equals spectacular. So I combined, General Finishes Milk Paint in color Lamp Black with the pieces original stain. I simply stripped the top of its varnish and enhanced the wood grain with antique wax from the MMSMP line, that I had on hand.

These were completed with General Finishes Lamp Black and sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Satin.

We love using pure white to brighten up a room so for this dark, dreary, and dated coffee table, we chose General Finishes crisp Snow White Milk Paint to give it the fresh new facelift is needed! We sprayed 3 coats of Snow White topped with two coats of High Performance in Flat for a durable, professional looking finish. The top was refinished in a Driftwood Grey stain and topped with General Finishes High Performance in Semi-Gloss for a durable, lustrous sheen. 

 

These chairs came to us in perfect condition, just not the color the client wanted. We painted the chairs with Lamp Black, lightly distressed then went back over the distressed areas with Van Dyke Brown Glaze. We sealed the project with Minwax Polycrylic in Satin, giving the client the perfect modern farmhouse look. 

The perfect combination of Antique Walnut Gel Stain and Chapin Gray Chalk Paint, this sturdy dresser is built with solid wood. Featuring a two-tone finish, classic lines and modern styling, this updated dresser is a great piece for any room!

Think Gramma's china cabinet has had it's day? Not so. May I present my China Cabinet Revival! With fan favourites GF Lamp Black Milk Paint on the exterior and GF Antique White Milk Paint on the interior shelves, this once loved beauty has been given a new lease on life. She has been ever so slightly distressed, because she is proud of her age and all she has ben through!  The picture of elegance and sophistication, this piece is very versatile.

French Provincial dresser updated using Black Lamp Milk Paint and High Performance Flat Topcoat.

This beauty was a complete and utter mess when I started it!  The back legs were broken, and I had to cut pieces to match.  Once I had all of the drawers repaired, as they wouldn't open or close, I got to work making it beautiful.  For this 'Chest on Chest' I used General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint.  I sanded down the beautiful top, and stained it in a walnut.  Then I sealed the entire thing in General Finishes HPTC, in Satin.  Finally, because all of the pulls were missing, and an odd size, I had to add new hardware that I sprayed in Copper Metallic.

Sophistication at its finest! This Jacobean Revival buffet from the 1930's has been completely restored. The crotch bookmatched flame maple is just amazing on the doors and drawers. The deep ebony and GF black glaze makes those legs sexy. The entire piece has been protected using General Finishes High performance top coat in gloss.

Refinished in Lamp Black with a custom glazed top using Seagull Gray and Van Dyke Brown Glaze. 

We couldn't help but go classic on this beautiful piece! First we sanded the top down and stained it using our favorite Java gel stain. Next we painted it using Antique white milk paint. Finally we gave it a gorgeous shine using Enduro Satin clear poly! Definitely one of our favorite pieces we've done lately! 

It's always fun to update a piece that has a few bumps & blemishes from many years of good service. This dresser originally belonged to my client's mother-in-law, Grandma Pearl, and had been in the family for decades. It had been relegated to a basement bedroom as it had many watermarks on the top and the finish was worn through to the wood in many places. My client wanted an update, but also wanted to keep much of the original look and woodgrain intact.

This large French Provincial nine drawer dresser and matching mirror was refinished using General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint and sealed with several coats of Gneral Finishes High Performance Top Coat in flat. The drawers were lined with mint and white lace paper. The original hardware was unaltered. This measured approximately 60.5" x 17" x 33" and the mirror measured approximately 46" long x 39.5" tall.

This small set of drawers was refinished using my favorite combination of General Finishes products, Antique Walnut and Antique White. The drawers were updated with new library pull hardware giving the piece a vintage card catalogue look.

The original finish of this vintage ornately carved dresser was just too dark for my client's space.  We lightened it up with General Finishes Antique White milk paint.  The beautiful carvings were accented in black wax to really make them pop.  The top was sanded down and staine in General Finishes Antique Walnut gel stain.  I love how the beautiful wood grain is now showcased.  The original hardware was updated to an iron color.   

This buffet had beautiful detailing and design elements but they seemed get lost in the original, all-over  stained finish.  To accentuate these details, I chose a combined finish of paint and stain.  After stripping the top of the buffet, I applied one coat of General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain followed by one coat of Java Gel Stain.  I painted the base in General Finishes Milk Paint in Antique White.  I then applied the combined gel stains to the design elements on the front of the buffet and backsplash.

The accent table came to me filthy and covered in candle wax.  I scraped off the wax and sanded to a smooth finish.  Next I scrubbed with a TSP solution and rinsed off with a clean rag.  It was ready for the first coat of General Finishes French Vanilla Chalk Style Paint.  I quickly applied the first layer, not paying any attention to the direction of the brush strokes.  I allowed it to dry overnight before applying a second coat.  Due to applying a light color of paint over a dark wood it was necessary to apply a third coat.

This beautiful black dining table and chairs was refinished using Lamp Black Milk Paint.  This true black color sprays so well for a flawless finish.

This little beauty was begging to be transformed into a more classical piece. I used Lamp Black over the whole piece and finished with High Performance Top Coat. I also added Efex mouldings to the centre of each drawer and gilded in a deep gold to match the drop drawer pulls which I also re coloured to a deep gold, and also gilded the edges of each drawer. 

When a farm girl meets chic! I am loving this farmhouse dresser converted into an amazing media center, center boxed out with the most magnificent wood to blend with the gorgeous top. You can never go wrong with some bright shabby white paired with that amazing stain, shes ready to put her white dress, cowboy boots on and go dancing!!

Refinished for a good friend, who is also a librarian. She loved the look of the label pulls which reminded her of an old card catalog. Refinished in antique white and walnut; a gorgeous combo! 

We knew when we found this pair of nightstands we had to do something special to them. So first we sanded down the tops and stained them using Java gel stain. Then we painted them in Antique White and instead of distressing like we usually do we glazed them with Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effects. They are absolutely gorgeous and I see more pieces like this in our future! 

My client contacted us wanting to refinish her vintage Pottery Barn furniture. The set fit her space nicely but the original finish was not only well loved but it wasn't going to work with their new living room renovations. They were moving away from the dark craftsmen look and wanted their furniture to reflect their new farmhouse vibe. With some inspiration help from the current Pottery Barn catalog we revised these great pieces with an on-trend modern farmhouse makeover! This gorgeous entertainment center was hand painted in General Finishes Lamp Black and seal in clear wax.

Henry Link French Provincial Five Drawer Chest. This tall gal was refinished using General Finishes Seagull Gray Milk Paint, sanded smooth, and sealed with several coats of General Finishes High Performance top coat in flat out flat. This piece has no distressing. The extremely clean and deep drawers were lined and the hardware was all replaced with "new" pulls similar to what would have been original to the piece. It measures approximately 33.5" x 18.5" x 46.5".

This stylish table is perfect for a narrow space yet provides a lot of extra storage. The top and drawers are stained in General Finishes Antique Walnut and the body painted in Antique White for a nice contrast.

This vintage Lane cedar chest received a much needed facelift using General Finishes Milk Paint and High Performance Topcoat. We chose General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint for the body of this piece for a neutral look that can be used for decades with any decor. We used two coats of General Finishes High Performance in Flat to topcoat the Milk Paint for a bit of sheen and added durability. We also used multiple layers High Performance in Semi-Gloss to the newly refinished top for layers of protection with a smooth lustrous sheen. 

This Beauty was a Beast, a solid antique one piece china hutch finished in GF Lamp Black.  Her stunning beauty was enhanced throughout in an antique gold.  She includes all her original hardware and a beautifully stenciled backboard. She's got great storage space with 3 drawers lined in a printed burlap fabric and 2 cupboards painted in a two-tone of red and Lamp Black to match the backboard.

Her measurements: 71.25" Tall, 17" Deep and 53.5" Wide

Adorable dresser Painted in Antique White. The little numbers are painted in Driftwood and make this perfect for a nursery.

This oak table had been handed down for years. It got newer, more modern chairs, and all were sanded and refinished in GF Antique White Milk Paint and GF Espresso Stain. All were top coated in GFHPTC. 

Black and white is always a good to for me! I sanded down the top of the coffee table and discovered horrible water marks so gel stain to the rescue! 

When this coffee table went off to its new home, I shed a little tear.  I loved how it came out.  I used Antique White Milk Paint which is the perfect creamy white color.  I distressed very lightly around the edges and added high Performance topcoat for added protection and subtle shine.  For the top I added wood planks and stained them in a gray stain.  Finally I added fabric drawer liners in fun prints.  

This awkward hall tree was refinished in Lamp Black. Turned out super cute despite falling forward and hitting me in the head 5 times while I was painting it. 

This black and white beauty was created by starting off with rolling on a complete coat of Valspar white paint. Using a wide artist brush, the details were brought out with Valspar classic black. I then mixed Valspar clear mixing glaze with the black paint using a high ratio of the clear glaze to paint to accent the mouldings and details on the base and feet. Finally, she was given General Finishes High Performance Topcoat in satin for long lasting durability. 

This beautiful, hefty butcher-block table is sure to warm a room!  The table top has been given new life with General Finishes Antique Walnut! The chairs and legs are impeccable with General Finishes Lamp Black!

Old dresser made new into a tv console! Using java gel stain on top. Base antique white with van dyke glaze! 

This beautiful French Provincial dresser received a princess makeover using General Finishes Snow White Milk Paint and High Performance Top Coat. Her bright white body complements her stunning gold slippers perfectly! 

This vanity was so deserving of a makeover!  The shape, carved detailing, wooden appliques and embellishments were just waiting to be discovered.   I painted the entire piece in General FInishes Milk Paint in Linen.  I then applied a coat of General FInished High Performance Top Coat in Flat to provide a slip coat for the next step .  General Finishes Glaze Effects in Van Dyke Brown was then applied to with a sponge brush and allowed to settle in the carvings and raised embellishments.  The excess glaze was wiped off with a soft cloth.

Total freshing up for this vintage bench. Lamp Black Milk Paint with HPTC in satin was used. 

One of our early pieces! This stunning buffet was in disrepair. Much had to be remolded and refined. After sanding to clean wood, the piece was stained with GF Espresso on the top, and painted with GF Antique White Milk Paint. Top coated with GFHPTC. 

Black Beauty started out as a dark stained 70's little chest with bright brass hardware and totally unloved. The top was sanded down to bare wood and restrained in minwax provincial. The base was painted as well as the drawer edges in Sherwin Williams thunder gray with Webster's chalk paint powder added. Then General Finishes pitch black glaze was applied for a beautiful luster. The drawer fronts were sanded down to expose the bare wood and then stenciled with black wood icing and croc stencil.

This was a very old dark stained court cupboard, I find these all the time at auctions and thrift shops as people seem put off by the old fashioned stain, finish. I however can see past that and know GF Milk paint can transform the darkest of pieces. I sanded the top natural which took forever, it smelt like tobacco in the stain, awful, then it was given a light sand/clean and GF Seagull Grey used on the frame, absolutely love how this came up and it is now loved and used again in my cousins house. This was destined to be unloved and is now revitalised and in daily use 

This little vanity was absolutely hideous when it came to me. Freshened it up with antique white milk paint and it was a totally different piece. 

We couldn't help but use our favorite look on this beautiful Maddox secretary. We painted it in Antique white milk paint and used Enduro Satin clear poly to give it a gorgeous finish! We left the secretary portion the original finish to give a nice contrast when you opened it. Love how this piece turned out! 

Who doesn't need some class in their life!! Black Beauty is so elegant with General finishes Lamp Black! Her top is finished in general finishes antique Walnut, what warmth this gives to any room.

She doesn't leave home without her jewelry which is highlighted with Antique Gold.

Beautiful console refinished in lamps black with some distress!

This piece was a redo of a redo.  I found it at a garage sale and had to have it.  Originally made in Italy i loved the curves of the desk.  The legs unfortunately were unsalvageable so I added all new legs to the piece.  I originally painted it a totally different color but was just not feeling it.  This piece needed something different.  In comes Lamp Black Milk Paint and it totally felt right.  I painted the exterior with the Lamp Black Milk Paint and kept it clean and modern.  I added a pop of color for the inside of the desk in Persian Blue Milk Paint.

My husband was shaking his head when he saw me haul this piece into the workshop.  It was painted 2 different shades of ivory and white and the bottom of it was chipped, broken and had visible water damage.  I loved the curved trim pieces, the detail on the top drawer and the smaller size of it and had a plan.  We chopped off the entire bottom of the piece and reinforced it and then I added feet to give her a little stature.  She got a gorgeous Lamp Black General Finishes Milk Paint and smooth glossy finish with HPTC Gloss and I wrapped it up with new rose gold hardware.

This cute little side table would be adorable in any room. It's colors have it right at home in a beach house, farm house, living room or a nursery, which is where it resides now. Body is finished in my favorite color Antique White.

Drexel buffet painted in Antique White. It's timeless, classic look will never get old!

This piece came from a loving father who had it handmade in Indonesia for his precious little girl.  I knew I had to make it beautiful.  I used Lamp Black Milk Paint which gave it that deep black color I was looking for.  Next I used Georgian Cherry Gel Stain for the top which paired perfectly with the black Milk Paint.  Finally to top off the paint, I used High Performance Top Coat in Satin for protection as well as the perfect amount of shine.  For some finishing touches, I finished the drawers with beautiful paper drawer liners and recovered the chair in a complimentary fabric.

Bought this Edwardian dresser at auction, it was very old and had seen a lot of use, there was water stains and burns on the top and it really needed some tlc. I loved the barley twist legs and mirror etc so I could see it could look amazing with the help of GF Milk paint in Linen.

Gorgeous antique clawfoot table refinished in antique white with a custom stained top using various GF products. 

We wanted to give this piece a classic look and what better way to do that than Antique white. Once we painted the server in Antique White we slightly distressed over the details and edges. For the top coat we used enduro satin clear poly. This one did not last long with all its beautiful lines and details. Our clients loved it and it looks beautiful in their new home! 

This bench seat has been handcrafted by a master cabinetmaker, built using reclaimed materials including an old twin bed frame and barnwood. This sturdy piece is the perfect statement (and functional) piece for any home! Hand painted with General Finishes Black Pepper Chalk Paint, lightly distressed to highlight character and sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat.

This was a simple and pretty transformation. I used 3 coats of General Finishes Snow White and topped it off with 2 coats General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Flat. Perfect for a little girls room!

Black and white striped vanity.

When I got this antique washstand I knew I had to do something classic with it. I sanded down it down, primed it, cleaned up the original hardware and put on a few layers of java gel stain. Looks brand new again!

Graceful and elegant, this dining table will be a show-stopper in any home. She has been painted in General Finishes Lamp Black with a mandala stencil design done in Burnished Pearl Effects. She has been sealed with High Performance Top Coat in satin to add to her durability

The top of the desk was stained in Antique Walnut Gel Stain and the rest painted in Antique White Milk Paint.  Label drawer pulls add a unique touch.

Hi there friends! Thought we'd enter our Lamp Black Beauty that we've recently completed! When we found her on the curb side she was indeed in need of some TLC. We took her home, washed her up and began our transformation! She's been hand painted in GF Lamp Black, we've then distressed her and sealed her in GF High Performance Clear Coat with a Satin finish! We've finished the hardware in a Flat Iron spray and she's ready to go! She's come a long way and is ready to find the right home! This beauty was found at an estate sale and was originally a brown stain. It was in great condition but was missing "pizzaz". We decided to paint this dated piece using General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint. We also used Kristi Kuehl's Pure Home Pearl Protective Glaze to add a bit of shimmer to the piece. General Finishes Satin Top Coat was used to give added protection to the top of this now modern farmhouse dresser.

Good morning everyone. I recently finished this gorgeous Indonesian Buffet. I painted this one Black and stained the top, with Java Gel by General Finishes. I had to sand this one down to the bare wood and remove the pink paint the original owner had applied that was pealing off. This stunning buffet is going to a great home. This sweet mini-buffet has been given a new life with antique white milk paint and java gel stain! 

The classic Empire sofa table was just asking for soft and subtle color. So classy, yet so simple.   I mixed 3 parts Antique white with 1 part snow white to achieve this color.  Sealed with High Performance topcoat in flat. 

General Finishes waterbase stain blocker primer was applied to this buffet to prevent bleed thru. Finished in Adirondack white by Folkart mixed in Benjamin Moore and lightly distressed. Top stripped and stained in Natural Chestnut by Zar. All sealed with a matte topcoat for added protection by Rustoleum.

We gave her a good bath, then added a few coats of GF Lamp Black! We distressed her then sealed her in High Performance Top Coat with a Satin finish! We turned the frosted glass into this Flat Iron muted top! We think she's a stunner! We hope you love!

 I used all General Finishes products for this table. Java gel and gel top coat wipe on urethane for the base. The top is a base of linen milk paint with a wash of antique white and then glazed in van dyke brown and sealed in high performance top coat flat.

We used General Finishes waterbase stain blocker primer for bleeding purposes. Finished in Adirondack white and lightly distressed, by Folkart. Tops stripped and stained in Teak Moorish by Zar. All sealed with a matte topcoat for added protection, by Rustoleum.

A Pint of the Black Stuff aka Guiness beer in Ireland. This Pub size table is refinished in General Finishes Lamp Black and highlighted around the top with Baroque Art Gilders Paste in silver then sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat.

I wanted a classic clean look for these matching beauties. Antique White Milk Paint was applied to the bottoms and a mixture of  colors applied in a dry brush technique using chalk paint from another brand. 

This handsome old dresser had such amazing lines and all the original metal keyholes and wooden wheels.  We painted the whole outside of the dresser in General Finishes Black Pepper Chalk paint.  I also waxed the drawers with Briwax in the shade Antique Mohogany.  Love how stately this piece looks!  Makes any room feel more cozy!  

This gorgeous revamped from fruitwood honey oak finish to this outstanding deep pop of black with a flat finish. Creating a new look. Sleek, rustic and vibrant. 

This buffet was painted in Wise Owl Limestone.  It was then sealed with General Finishes High Performance Topcoat.  I used an ebony stain to create the aged effect.    Original hardware was cleaned up using Wise Owl's Lemon Verbena Furniture Salve.

Hi there friends! When we bought this piece last year, she wasn't as lovely as today! She was terribly dirty and was being used in an old garage to store tools and such! She was missing a couple pieces of hardware so we knew we were going to have to get creative! We took her home, gave her a bath then got to work finding some replacing hardware. After locating a couple of extra pieces we went to work painting her in GF Antique White! We distressed her, painted her hardware a Matte Black and found her a perfect new home!

Exterior of the dresser was painted in Milk Paint Antique White. The drawers were painted with a custom blend of Persimmon, Coral Crush and Antique white to create a peachy-pink colour for a little baby girl's nursery.

These Mahogany bleeders were refinished in 8 billion gallons of stain blocker and antique white. 

These twin endtables are classic, solid and sturdy ready to take their place in your home! Painted in Lanp Black Milk Paint, a Java Gel stained top with a unique drawer pull to complete the look. Sealed for protection with Flat on Flat HP topcoat. Twin beauties!

I found this "potentially" amazing piece in a trash pile on the side of the road! It was literally cut in HALF, it didn't have a backside, the front doors were covered with old rotten pegboards and every shelf on the inside was covered in mold, dirt, grime and everything else you can imagine. When I realized it was a stepback cupboard, I was in love and willing to poor as much of myself into it as I could so that it would look original and beautiful again.

Drop Leaf Dining Table with drawer; Found this in actual pieces with no finish; A little love and vision from IEW, and its shining brighter than we suspect it ever has; A really special table! Finish done/sprayed  using General Finishes Lamp Black Satin Milk Paint on entire piece; The Top was then sanded down to reveal just where the Milk Paint absorbed into the pores of the wood; A few Satin top coats later, and voila, the perfect drop Leaf dining table, suitable for any style home.

This vintage waterfall dresser was painted with General Finishes Milk Paint in Lamp Black. The drawers were removed and sanded down to the original grain and then stained with a Walnut stain. The dresser was sealed with General Finishes Flat Out Flat and given new hardware to complement the black and walnut stain.

This beautiful vintage buffet was updated with a modern black finish. The front panels and drawer fronts were given some texture using Artisan Enhancements VP Antico and stencils. It was painted in General Finishes milk paint in Lamp Black. Some of the details were highlighted with Modern Masters metallic paint in Warm Silver. The top of the buffet was stenciled using a glaze made by adding the Lamp Black milk paint to a Scumble glazing solution. This created a translucent stencil. The project was finished in two coats of GF High performance top coat in Flat. 

Dressers finished in General Finishes Antique White Milk Paintwith Java Gel Stain applied to the tops. New hardware offers a modern finish. 

This oversized and outdated coffee table received a bright new facelift using General Finishes crisp Snow White Milk Paint. We sprayed the body with 3 coats of Milk Paint for a smooth professional look. We then topped her off with 4 coats of High Performance Top Coat in Semi-Gloss for added protection on her newly stained top. 

This regal two tone beauty was done in Lamp black and Java gel, just the perfect combination to highlight all it's gorgeous detail! Finished with both high performance top coats, oil based for the Java gel and water based for the Lamp black. 

This bed was a custom project for a client's little girl's room. I used General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint for the base and antiqued the details using General Finishes Van Dyke Brown Glaze. My client was in love with the results and has asked me to do her other daughter's bed just like this!

These adorable nightstands were just begging for a makeover!

Refinished in Antique white milk paint and high performance top coat, in flat finish on the bottom and top in satin finish for a unique finish, they are now just crisp and clean looking. The drawers are also lined in fun fabric and new drawer pulls complete the look. 

I loved these so much, I had to keep for myself!

This beautiful buffet was painted in Snow White milk paint and distressed over the details and edges. It was top coated using Enduro satin clear poly! We usually use antique white but love the brighter white on this piece! 

This dresser was painted using General Finishes Lamp Black. The original "pineapple" brass hardware was removed and the remaining hardware holes were filled/sanded before painting. The dresser was distressed with a fine grit sandpaper and sealed with General Finishes Flat Out Flat. The dresser was given new, white knobs to complete its look.

This old beat up vanity was rescued~ dismantled and given some TLC to create two beautiful night stands for a customer of ours. 

This beautiful black buffet was a custom order to match an existing dining room set. Painted in Lamp Black Milk Paint which sprays so well and shows a flawless finish, the buffet is practical and good looking at the same time. The hardware was painted silver for an updated look.

 

This is such a timeless classic beauty! The entire body was painted in antique white and and slightly distressed. The french script on the front three drawers is painted in queenstown gray and then wiped back and dry brushed in antique white to soften the look. The top of the dresser and the mirror were stained with gray gel stain and then dry brushed in multiple layers of antique white, seagull gray, driftwood, queenstown gray and lamp black milk paints.
