I wish this delightful little door could tell it's story!! This door is from a rural ND farmstead and was saved in a family barn.  I powerwashed it to get the grime off, lightly sanded, white washed some bare spots with a mixture of white paint and water, stained the shelves with GF Salem and sealed the whole project with GF High Performance in satin.

When I rescued this chest of drawers -- I KNEW it wanted to live again as a farmhouse-inspired chest. The vision came to me instantly -- a white body and refinished top. I refinished the top using a custom mix of General Finishes Antique Walnut and Java Gel Stain. I primed the body with General Finishes Stain Blocker and painted it with General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint. I used one of my favorite topcoats, General Finishes Flat Out Flat, to seal the body and drawers of the chest. 

This beauty is everything you want in your country home! 

Painted in General Finishes snow white milk paint, distressed and then glazed in GF black glaze effects. Sealed in GF high performance top coat in flat.

This Antique was lovingly refinished to highlight the natural wood drawers.  The base was painted in Millstone Milk paint, while the wood was refinished with some paste wax to bring back it's beautiful luster.  

This vintage solid cherry wood piece was prepped by sanding lightly with 200 grit and cleaning with a 50/50 denatured alcohol and water solution. The top was sanded with an orbital electric sander to remove the original finish. The piece was brush painted in General Finishes Basil Milk Paint. Slightly distressed and it's character enhanced with the fabulous Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effects.  The knobs painted with Antique White  Milk Paint and slightly distressed.  The top was stained with General Finishes Gel Stains in the Java Color.

This Ornately Carved Buffet was first painted with General Finishes Milk paint.  I then added an antiquing glaze, and distressed it.  

My spouse came home from work wearing a huge grin. "Honey! Look what I found on the curb!"

This Antique Tiger Oak Chest has been updated with General Finishes Milk Paint, with a custom grey glaze over top to match the custom 3-color layered and distressed top.  

This former Art Deco style chest got quite the makeover. I painted the body with my favorite black, General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint. I refinished the drawers using a custom mix of Antique Walnut and Java Gel Stain. Finally, I finished the look with stenciled drawers and updated hardware. This Art Deco chest now has a new life as a modern industrial farmhouse chest. ❤️

This stunning pine Heywood Wakefield China Cabinet has gotten the incredible on-trend makeover. First we removed and repaired an wine glass rack and wood rail (super 80's so it had to go!). This piece was then hand painted in Pure and Original Classico paint. The wood top was refinished using a custom mix of General Finishes Water Based Stain (natural, Walnut, and Antique Oak) and High Performance Top Coat . And finally, we gave the piece a new shiplap back! Gorgeous new hardware from D. Lawless Hardware and designer paper lined drawers make this a country farmhouse dream!

      This lovely piece called tugged at my heart when a friend told me her family was just wanted to burn it because they didn't think it could be fixed. She explained to me that it was her mothers and she just couldn't destroy it. I was basically it's last chance. I took the challenge and jumped in with both feet.

This hardwood beauty makes my heart flutter. He's so handsome suited out in his Driftwood Milk Paint case. This color does magic to those beautiful wood drawers.

A family antique received a complete makeover. The body was first base coated with a mixture of GF Antique White and Driftwood milk paints (to prevent bleed throigh). I then painted in GF Antique white, slightly distressed, glazed with Van Dyke Brown and sealed with GF HP Topcoat  

The drawer fronts were painted with MM iron paint. Then we did a raised stencil with AE Pearl Plaster, lightly tinted with GF Patina Green to create a subtle aqua color. Next, we sprayed MM Rust Activator and let it flow over the raised stencil, then sealed with HP Topcoat. 

Elegant Buffet makeover with a custom color of Halycon Blue and Driftwood for the base.  Top and drawers are a mix of Java gel with white wash, and finished with High performance top coat.

I saw great potential in this beat up old table. It was a dull worn orangy finish when I brought it home. 

Sanded it down, and painted it with a layer of Snow White , sanded back, and painted again with seagul grey. I then sanded lightly to show the layers. 

It gave this piece a great barnwood worn look! 

This end table set was sanded then I stained the top with Java gel stain and I painted the bottom with Millstone milk paint. The paint went on so smoothly to these beautiful tables and it looks great in contrast to the Java gel stain. I also applied 2 coats of High Performance top coat. It really is the BEST top coat available!

I wanted her pretty and shiny and neat and ladylike. But what did I know???

SHE obviously wanted something different and I had no choice but follow her lead.

She called for layers of colors (taupe over turquoise over white over stain) and lots of distressing (with a belt sander) and pretty iron hardware with a pop of color. Because, after all, she was still all girl!  She's definitely sugar and spice and everything nice. 

I took an already cool bench that needed new life and turned it into the country chic of country chic. The timeless color and distressed look will forever be cool.  The GF Enduro Clear Poly gave flawless coverage and protection.

When I got this piece it had the legs cut off and gold roller ball wheels on it. I Took them off, added new legs which didnt fit. So, I took the set screw out of the legs, turned them upside down and drilled the set screw in the opposite end so they would be attached upside down. It worked out great! The hardware was missing so I added plain oak knobs to give it a modern farmhouse look.

Where oh where do I begin?!?! This piece is really Ah-Mazing! It had such a beautiful and rare mix of woods. I immediately got a vision for it which would maintain the uniqueness and highlight what is so clearly special about this piece. To enhance the beauty of the wood I used a combination of a chalk paint wash and General Finishes Winter White Glaze. The body of the piece was hand painted in Pure White and the cabinets where stained in General Finishes Water Based Antique Oak. This gorgeous piece has the farmhouse charm that is so undeniably irresistible.

Antique desk with country charm.  Painted with Antique White and Persian Blue milk paint, and top stained with Java Gel.

Stained the top on this Country dresser with a weather oak. Then painted in coastal blue, distressed, and sealed. I added some fun cast iron pulls to give it that rustic Country feel! 

This dining room ensemble was truly a labor of love! I had the french provencial table already, but I'd painted the top black and the base gray to match my decor in my former home. I just moved into such a light, airy space that this called for some rustic white and a more natural stained top!

Using a variety of blonder shades of stain and greys, I achieved the color I wanted and then sealed the top with General Finishes' Arm R Seal, with four coats for long-lasting durability. It provides such a deep glow and the perfect amount of shine!

A once peeling table now becomes a bright rainbow of colors. I first sanded the top to bare wood . I then used a water spray bottle to mist the wood for easier blending of the paint. I used patina green and Klein blue streaking back and forth with  a brush till it looked blended. I then applied burnt umber in various stokes to add a wood look, applying in strokes randomly. I used the Klein blue on the over all bottom then repeated the steps above but leaving more of the Klein blue showing on the sides. The front I also blended till I got the look I wanted.

This is actually the table in the movie Home Alone and it was a yellow pine color.  We brought it to life with a distressed white and sprayed cleared with high performance Top Coat.  I think it fits the space well.  In facts the chairs and the hutch in the background were all prices I refurbished and used HPTC as the final touch. It's perfect!

The body and mirror frame are painted in Soft White from The Real Milk Paint Co. LLC.  

The top is a multilayered process using General Finishes Water Based Stains in Espresso, Weathered Gray (customized with some Lamp Black Milk Paint and Espresso Stain) and Whitewash to create a weathered barn wood vibe to match my clients existing table  

The top of the piece was sealed with General Finishes HIgh Performance Top Coat in Satin and the body with Satin Finishing Wax. 

This gorgeous chest is a show stopper! Layers upon layers of paint transformed this old pine chest into something spectacular! Words just don't do this piece justice, so I will let you decide for yourself. 

When it comes to the palette of Farmhouse colors, green is the new gray!! The body of this piece was painted in GF Cypress milk paint. Although the color is discontinued, it can be recreated using Lamp Black and Sunburst yellow. 

The top was sanded down to the bare wood.  t then added a splash of GF Driftwood to HP Topcoat to give it just a slight tint, then applied to the top. 

This Hutch Top had no bottom and was found in someone's trash. I built a new bottom for it, which gave it a Farmhouse-Country look! All painted in General Finishes products, built with Ryobi Power Tools! 

Beautiful Dining room table and chair makeover.  Table was refinished with Cherry gel stain and Persian Blue legs.  Chairs have been refinished in Buttermilk yellow for a pop of color.  

I absolutely loved this buffet! Painted with Snow White, distressed on the drawers. Then the body, and cabinet doors in Seagul grey. I stained the top in a custom mix. Then finished off with some beautiful glass knobs to compliment. 

Cute little buffet with image transfers and just the right amount of wax to make this little gem a must for any room!

Hey there GF Gang! We found these two dudes hanging out at a local thrift store! They were in need of a new look and a new home so we gave them one! We 've hand painted these gents with General Finishes Dark Chocolate and Persian Blue milk paints and then sealed them with a High Performance Clear Coat with a Satin finish! This vintage cedar chest was rescued from a basement storage room and brought back to life with the assistance General Finish Snow White Milk Paint and General Finish Antique Walnut Gel Stain. I applied the stencil with General Finish Java Gel  and used Annie Sloan Dark wax on the base, then slightly distressed the whole piece. I finished by adding new casters, metal brackets and 3 coats of Minwax Polycrylic.

This antique, either late 1890s or early 1900s, medicine cabinet had layers and layers of your typical farmhouse white paint on it.  I stripped it down, then built it back up in my signature style of distress. I used three colors and several layers of paint, plus a custom color.  I used Antique White, Linen, and Basil.  I mixed the Antique White with Basil for a really very pretty subtle key lime color. The mirror on the door has lost some of its silvering, but to me that is just more delicious charactor. It has a functioning key and works perfectly. I am keeping this bad boy.

The inside of this piece is painted in GF Antique White paint & sealed w/ GF High Performance Top Coat in Satin. The glass has been replaced by chicken wire. The outside was painted in gray & then white wax was applied. 

Refinished in GF Antique White with a custom wet washing in Seagull Gray and Antique White wiping back on the tops. Sealed with GF High Performance Top Coat in Satin. 

This beauty was painted with General Finishes Patina green, lightly distressed, Dark waxed and Glazed with General Finishes Tawny Pearl effects. 

This masculine beauty is the perfect mix. Using Dark Chocolate Milk Paint and Coastal Blue, this slightly weathered dresser was given a second change at love. Slightly distressed along the edges and along the sides, you are able to get slight peeks at the Dark Chocolate lingering underneath the Coastal Blue Blanket. Finished with a bronze handle, she is sure to stun.

We wanted to do something out of our norm on this piece. So we thought a pop of color for this little side server was perfect. We painted it using Buttermilk yellow milk paint and then slightly distressed it. Finished it off with a coat of Enduro satin clear poly. This is the perfect little country chic piece! 

I found this Cedar Chest buried in a basement and filthy dirty and sceaming for a make over , I had to have it !!

 Brought it  home and gave it a thorough cleaning,  and sanded the top to reveal an inlaid Diamond top !  I didnt want to loose that so I used Nutmeg Gel stain to enhance the diamond. then I used  the Linen and pearlized the details on the front. Topped off with G.F. high performance in flat & G.F. Gel Top Coat in Satin .

Gorgeous Jacobean cabinet oozing charm for days! The back of the cabinet was spiced up with stained planks to pull in the country charm with a rustic touch. Java Gel Stain was used as a glaze to give depth and to accentuate the details.

This class Empire Buffet has been transformed into A Bohemian Dream!  Using custom mixes of turquoise and teal as my base colors, I worked to blend them into a ombré effect.  I then created the stunning finish on the buffet top using GF Java Gel Stain.  The richness of this stain was needed elsewhere, so I wet sanded several area throughout the piece and proceeded with Java Gel Stain vet the sanded areas.  The result....A Bohemian Dream.  Perfect for those interested in eclectic design and/or the bohemian vibe.  

Beautiful country table and chairs refinished in lamps black and Snow White milk paint

Vaseline was applied in spots to create a chippy look. Over that I painted 2 parts GF Antique White  mixed with 1 part GF Snow White milk paint. High Performace Top Coat in Satin  was used to seal both chairs. You can also use a 2 color layering effect to create more depth & color. I wanted the paint to look like it was chipped off the original wood finish that is why I put the Vaseline directly on the wood . 

When I got this antique dining set it's captain chair was missing an arm. My dad and I used the existing arm to create 2 new arms for the chair. With that done, I set my sights on cleaning off the years of built up wax and who knows what with paint thinner. Then, I stripped the table top to bare wood using paint stripper followed by sanding up to a 180 grit sandpaper.

Vanity turned into two night stands. Took a vanity apart and gave it a dipped look! Antique White and Java Gel Stain with HPTC Satin. I used Blue painters tap and a lot of measuring to make the lines perfect for this look. It was a task but I'm glad I did it!

Updated an outdated oak hutch and chairs country chic with GF antique white and peesian blue milk paint.  Beautiful paint!

This Plain Jane three-drawer chest on rollers was given new life and is no longer a wallflower!  The top was sanded down and stained with Minwax Dark Walnut.  The chest was painted with Behr Cottage White turned chalk paint and lightly distressed.  The original knobs were sprayed with Rustoleum spray paint in Oil Rubbed Bronze and added to the drawers were metal book plates also sprayed with Oil Rubbed Bronze.  The drawers were lined with trendy farmhouse fabric from Hobby Lobby.  

Refinished this old dining table to give it a little more pizzazz! Legs are a copper basecoat under neutral setcoat and distressed. Top has s dark brown setcoat border and antique mahogany and golden oak stain and seal checkerboard pattern. Arm-r-seal satin is the topcoat. 

I did a custom mix of General Finishes Holiday Red and Antique White to get this pretty soft pink. I combinded 1 pint of Antique White and 3 parts of the Holiday Red, approximately 3 tablespoons. I sealed it with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Flat. 

The "Country Chic" style is increasingly popular! By using General Finishes products, it is easy to achieve this amazing look. I found a solid wood table with a matching bench at a local thrift store. The table top was scratched and stained with markers and paints. The bench and legs were painted with a now-faded forest green, a flashback to the 90's style in decor. I had a vision for this table and bench, and knew General Finishes products could help me transform these pieces from a thrift store tuck-away to a tasteful treasure.

This Hutch is the Conversational Piece in my modern Farmhouse kitchen. 

I brought this hutch from the States to Poland praying that this piece of Furniture fit in the space I have imagined for him...and He did!  

We had the opportunity to make over this beautful table and chair set that turned out absolutely gorgeous!  This piece was refinished using GF Antique White Milk Paint with Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effects and dark wax on the base of the table and chairs.  The table top was done in Dark Chocolate Milk Paint using our wood graining tool to add grain and definition.

I love the perfectly imperfect farmhouse look and this coffee table was screaming "make me old"! The top was refinished using General Finishes Antique Oak Water-Based Stain with a custom flat finish and paired with my favorite gray, a custom mix of Miss Mustard Seed's Trophy. And then for the hardware!!!!❤️❤️❤️ This beautiful new D. Lawless Hardware was aged to perfection using my favorite brass ager. And now it's truly farmhouse; perfectly imperfect!

Visually pleasing in every way, this stunning solid oak antique dresser features a gorgeous blue and gray finish with a medium gray glaze. The Rustic farmhouse Chic piece features The Farmer Market transfer on the drawers turn an ordinary chest into a work of art! The red faucet drawer pulls heighten visual appeal.

I so badly wanted to keep this gorgeous, shabby sofa table, but sadly I had to let it go. Refinished in antique white milk paint with a custom glazed top using seagull gray milk paint and antique walnut stain as a glaze. 

$7 Garage Sale blanket rack turned Veggie storage bin. Refinished this piece with General Finishes Patina Green and General Finishes Antique White. Gave her a good distressing then added the cute Farmers Market stencil using General Finishes Holiday Red, then sealed with General Finishes High Performanace Top Coat.

A little white paint can go a long way to freshen up a dated dining set! I spruced up this table and chairs with GF Snow White milk pait and GF Flat Top Coat. I used a wash of Seagull Gray milk paint and GFHP Flat Top Coat for the table top. 

A friend gave me this piece bc it was headed to the trash. So happy to save it! Painted in Sea Green & sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat to give it the durability to continue another 100 yrs. 

Solid Oak table set was refinished using GF Espresso Water-Based Stain on top and Antique White on the bottom and chairs.  It was then distressed to highlight all the edges and really give it that farmhouse look.

This Old Hoosier cabinet was brought back to life giving it a  old rustic farm house look. We replaced the counter top of the cabinet with knotted pine. We primed the hoosier using General Finshes Linen milk paint. We applied the transfer . We then used vaspar antiquing glaze and General Finshes Antique walnut to give this old jewel and worn rustic country look.

Refinished in antique white with a custom glazed top using van dyke brown glaze. 

I found this beautful coffee table and knew that I could really bring out the beauty with the Persian Blue Milk Paint. 

The base is painted in Stillwater blue chalky style paint. I topped that with miss mustard seeds antiquing wax. The top I stained with gray gel stain and finishes it off with HPTC in flat. 

Basil milk paint was the perfect color to give this buffet a new life.  The front legs were stripped to their natural wood color, and brushed with white wax to which gave it a less formal appearance and more of a modern farmhouse vibe.  Basil is a great soft and subtle color that blends well with any decor. 

The cutest, little china cabinet you've ever seen had all the right curves, just not the right shade! She was painted using General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint all the way down to her "waist". The legs were left bare and freshened up with a coat of Walnut stain. The painted body was distressed back in spots to reveal the original wood stain and perfect amount of green, chippy paint that was original to the cabinet. The piece was then sealed with General Finishes Flat Out Flat for the final touch. 

Originally from a full 5-piece bedroom set that had been turned into various customer needs, this piece remained and the carved wheat inlay called 'Farmhouse' to me.  The base coat is Antique White Milk Paint and then I hand glazed with Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effects. The glaze really brought out the carved details and trim.  New hardware throughout. 

Love the way this piece turned out!  This one was chosen out of our inventory and customized with GF Antique White Milk Paint.  The top was finished with Java Gel stain and sealed with gel topcoat.  The whole piece was slightly distressed and seal with High Performance Flat.  All of the pulls were updated with these cast iron pulls to really give it that farmhouse look our client was hoping for!

This absolutely stunning cedar chest has the most beautiful carved details, that we knew *had* to be highlighted! The recesses were allowed to stand out with gently dry brushed layers of Linen milk paint. Gentle distressing for a naturally antiqued effect lends a classic touch to this charming piece. The top has been refinished with Walnut water based stain to accent the cedar grain for a perfectly cottage chic contrast, making this a beautiful farmhouse inspired treasure!

The outside of this vintage beauty was transformed and given new life, using General Finishes Persian Blue. General Finishes Antique White was applied on the inside to brighten it up a little more!

We knew this old hutch would be perfect for a country chic kitchen. It is painted using Antique White milk paint and top coated using Enduro satin clear poly. For a catchy look we added some sparkly knobs! 

This once was grandma's dresser and now has a gorgeous GF Coastal Blue finish.  Ready for many more years of use.

This cute mini buffet is the sister piece to the mini china cabinet. She was painted using General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint all the way down to her "waist". The legs were left bare and freshened up with a coat of Walnut stain. The painted body was distressed back in spots to reveal the original wood stain and perfect amount of green, chippy paint that was original to the cabinet. The piece was then sealed with General Finishes Flat Out Flat for the final touch. 

This sweetheart was showing her age before she was given a head to toe makeover. Refinished in Java Gel Stain to accentuate the beautiful oak grain, sealed with High Performance Top Coat, and the rest is painted in Antique White Milk paint to complement perfectly.

Covered in cream lead base paint, this late 1800's piece was just sad.  During the stripping process we found it had been painted several times through the years.  Once we got down to the wood we found a gorgeous oak side board.  The drawers had fallen apart with broken pieces that needed a lot of work.  We found old scraps of oak and hand dovetailed them to match the original pieces.  We felt like a beautiful dark top with a white base would give it the perfect touch of country chic.

We got this amazing solid wood hand made china cabinet/bookshelf. It was an amazing craftsmanship but this baby needed some love and work. I am totally swooning over the beauty that has apeared with this big boy, the softness the green added is like it wasnt always ment for eachother!. We "drenched" (because she was so dry) her in the most amazing Green♡ makes you think happy thoughts! Shes butter smooth, new hardware color, new glass doors. I could keep going on and on but let me present "Flowers of Eden"

Barnhouse Beauty Sofa Table/Console

Let me stun your entryway or living space with my quality solid wood construction and shapely legs.  Painted  in an antique white milk paint for lasting durability. I provide storage in my center drawer and wire basket on the lower shelf. My back is completely finished, so show me off out in the middle of the room.  I'm crowned with a reclaimed wood top which is stained and painted to give you that farmhouse look.

Antique dresser painted in General Finishes Chalk Type Paint in the color Summertime Blue. This is the most unique color I have ever used. In some light it comes off white and some light you can see the faintest of blue. This is perfect for a farmhouse or shabby chic style. The top has been stained with General Finishes Java Gel and sealed with GF Gel Topcoat.

This drab previously honey oak colored bench was given a new life.  Stained in Java Gel.  Dark Chocolate milk paint used with a wood graining tool to intensify the look of wood grain on top.  Sealed with Arm R Seal topcoat.  Legs painted in Annie Sloan chalk paint and wax.

This beauty had it's own personality and charm to begin with but needed an update.  The previous finish was stripped and sanded lightly.  Oil was applied in various places to help with distressing.  Homemade chalk style paint in the color Pure Silk was applied and further distressed. The inside of the dry sink was stained to give it a uniform look with the previously stained inner doors.  General Finishes High Performance Top Coat was applied to give the piece the durability to continue to stand the test of time.  

This piece was literally coming apart, but I knew it could be salvaged. It had a "chippy" look to it which I loved, but by the time we finished rebuilding and stabilizing, most of that wonderful finish was gone. I wanted to recreate that look so this is how I did it:  I painted the table Brick Red, yes, I said red, and then I applied a mixture of Sea Spray in Linen to give it that rugged, worn, aged look. Then I painted the whole thing Antique White and once dry, started sanding to my hearts desire.

Creamy Snow 

This " Country Cutie" was once a hot mess!! While outside cleaning and prepping the exsisting finish became a soft sticky black mess so it had to be stripped.-- Once I had a paintable surface the hutch was covered in the color seal skin by Sherwin Williams with Webster's Chalk Paint Powder additive. It was then lightly dry brushed in Heirloom Traditions feathered nest and Verdigris. The inside frame and shelves were painted in Heirloom Traditions feathered nest. Inside top doors were painted a blend of feathered nest and Verdigris for a ombré effect.

Refinished in antique white milk paint with a custom glazed top. 

This beautiful coffee table was painted in Millstone milk paint, stained with American Oak gel stain and protected with High Performance semi gloss top coat. I love how easy the products were to use and I know that their top coat will give it years of use!

Duncan Phyfe style bow front dresser painted in General Finishes Persian Blue Milk Paint and sealed with General Finishes Flat out Flat Topcoat and dark wax. The top of the dresser was stained in GF Java Gel and sealed with GF Gel Topcoat.

This desk has been updated with a new farmhouse style finish in GF Millstone Milk paint and stained drawers and top.  Now ready for many more years of  life.

This is an older primitive dresser that needed some loving.  We painted the frame in Lamp Black and sealed it with Satin High Performance Top Coat for a soft sheen.  The drawers and top were stripped, sanded, and stained in Java Gel Stain.  They were sealed with Arm-R-Seal.  Once the Arm-R-Seal had dried a mandala was stenciled onto the front of the dresser across all three drawers.  The colors used were Antique White and Basil.  After drying for a few days, the mandala was sealed using High Performance Top Coat in Satin.

This project was a fun hash of Patina Green over lamp Black Milk Paints. The fun design allowed me to apply the paint in various directions to achieve the pattern. Sanded and covered with a top coat.

This primitive jelly cabinet was updated to reflect today's farmhouse style.  The 'Lucketts Green' milk paint by Miss Mustard Seed contrasts nicely with the warm hue of General Finishes 'Nutmeg' gel stain.  The earthy colors reflect natural, homegrown beauty and simplicity.

Antique dressing table painted in General Finishes Chalk Style Paint in the color Bayberry Green. Sealed with General Finishes Flat out Flat Top Coat and dark wax. 

This vintage piece is sure to bring sunshine to any room! With a buttery soft yellow layered over a warm coastal blue and weathered to perfection, it is sure to grab anyone's attention. Fabric covers the back of the hutch portion, and can be used with pushpins as a memo board. The desk opens up to reveal a tiny drawer and ample space to organize any mail. Three drawers offer ample space to store papers, books, table linens.

Character was added to these simple wood candle holders by first removing the previous finish and sanding. They were then stained with General Finishes Gel Stain in Nutmeg. After drying, hemp oil was applied before each of the two coats of Old Fashioned Milk Paint in Light Cream, giving the candles a romantic worn look.

This piece was my most popular by far. I found this sad cabinet at the local thrift store and thought it would be the perfect  project to try out glazing. The body was painted cream and glazed with Van Dyke. It took a while with sanding and wiping back the glaze to get it how I wanted it, but I'm pretty happy with it!

Layers of milk paint were applied to this antique potato bin to simulate years of chippy goodness.  A first layer of Miss Mustard Seed's 'Grainsack' was applied, followed by a layer of 'Lucketts Green', followed by another layer of 'Grainsack'.  No bonding agent was used in order to embrace "natural chips and peels over the years."  A light sanding revealed hues from underlying colors.  Light and dark wax were used to enhance the "aged" patina and General Finishes 'Nutmeg' gel stain rounded out the natural, loved-over-time look on the top.

I love distressed and chippy furniture. One of my favorite colours is blue. In order to this I've combined all of the GF milk paint blues, added some green and white and created this piece.

This perfectly imperfect Antique armoire has been painted in General Finishes Milk Paint in Linen, sealed with GF Flat Out Flat Topcoat and glazed with a fine detail brush using Van Dyke Brown Glaze to bring out the details.

You'd never believe that this beautiful cabinet was pulled from the trash compactor at the county dump! After some serious repair and a little love, it has new life and purpose. To get this look, I repaired doors and woodwork, filled, sanded, and wiped clean then went over the whole piece with General Finishes Walnut Gel Stain. I did a light coat of High Performance Top Coat then brought out the details with some Winter White Glaze. Once the glaze was dry, I sealed with High Performance Satin for extra durability.

We took an outdated 1980's table and chairs and brought it into the farmhouse era. First, we hand painted the chairs in Lamp Black and the table base in Snow White. Then we used General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain. We applies it to the tabletop and wiped back. We wanted more depth, so we waited 72 hours then applied General Finishes Pitch Black Glaze to achieve the perfect driftwood effect. We sealed the top with General Finishes Gel Topcoat and the rest with one coat of Minwax Polycrylic in Satin and the last two coats in General Finishes Flat Out Flat. 

This massive dining set had beautiful details, but screamed 1990s.  We took her from country,  to French Country Chic. Top is hand wiped layers of General Finishes Java and Brown Mahogany for added depth and beauty.

This sweet little dresser was in dire need of rehabbing. I removed two layers of warped veneer from the top. The whole piece was thoroughly cleaned and I applied Vaseline to create the chippy distressed effect. The piece was painted in General Finishes Empire Gray Chalk Paint and GF Antique White Milk Paint. The dresser was then distressed and glazed with General Finishes Van Dyke Brown Glaze. I love the natural look of the distressing. The whole piece (including the raw wood top) was sealed with GF High Performance Poly in a Flat finish. In rural Indiana country chic is very popular.

This old gal had certainly seen better days. I got her for next to nothing at the thrift store because the drawers were stuck pretty tight. I usually avoid pieces with serious drawer issues but she was too pretty to leave behind, so I took my chances. After prying the drawers loose, and spending hours sanding and planing she was finally ready for her makeover.

Refinished in antique white and winter white glaze was added to the top. 

Good evening everyone. I recently customized this gorgeous 1920's Jacobean sideboard. I painted this one with Maurice paint color and stained the top with a combination of Java and Black Gel by General Finishes.

How amazing is this buffet?! It features 6 drawers with original solid metal pulls in a hammered black finish with unique square screws. All drawers have been refinished inside and out. Inside, there are 4 pull-out drawers and a shelf for additional storage. The exterior is a distressed creamy white and the top has been stained a dark walnut.  Truly a one-of-a-kind country piece! 

This little bench was sanded, cleaned before I applied a mix of whitewash and dry-brush techniques using General Finishes Snow White.

I finished it with some Antiquing Wax to enhance the imperfections and rustic look.

I got this dresser from a frenchmen named Bruno who builds guitars, flys planes and brews his own beer.  He is such a cool guy and I just wanted to do this classic piece justice.  I painted the outside of the dresser in General Finishes Chalk paint in Limestone  and I painted the drawers in General Finishes Chalk paint in Chalk White.  I lightly distressed the edges and painted the hardware matte black.  

Who says you need white or gray for a farmhouse inspired dresser? I like to think navy helps modernize the look -- especially General Finishes Coastal Blue. I lightly sanded the dresser before applying the navy blue paint. I used an antiquing wax to seal the dresser and create an even deeper and darker navy. This is definitely one of my favorite colors to use. ❤️

Several colors in neutral shades haphazardly over entire piece. The color FRENCH LINEN on the dreamer and door fronts. Texture medium in various areas. Sanded back in various ares to reveal the many other colors used. Crackle medium on various areas. Glazed with burnt umber color. Top coated with General Finishes High Performance in flat.

This sweet old rocker just lacked that invitation to "sit a spell". A good clean up, a little sanding, and the magic of Saltwash combined with General Finishes Klein Blue milk paint gave this tired little rocker that country chic feel it was craving! We think everyone should enjoy some front porch time in a rocker like this!

This vintage petite secretary politely requested a makeover and who am I to turn down such a request? General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain added such beauty to the legs of this piece that they had to be shown off! 

This rustic farmhouse style end table has an oiled wood top and slightly distressed antique white base, which blend easily in any living space.

This pretty dresser hadn't been lovingly cared for in years and had been left curbside.  The top was painted with two coats of Dark Chocolate Milk Paint.  After 24 hours I dry brushed the top with Copper Pearl Accents.  Once that was dry the top was sealed with Arm-R-Seal for durability.

The drawer fronts were sanded and stained with Java Gel Stain.  The drawers were then sealed with Arm-R-Seal.
