Hi I’m Stacy and my husband is Jt  and this is Our story......It all began with a weekend Honey Do project we started a few years back. I talked Jt into redoing our kitchen cabinets they turned out beautiful !!! Well then the kitchen table need a new do to match those beautiful cabinets . That to was a great project...so next were other cabinets in our home the bathroom the bedroom etc etc... We were beginning to decide this was something we enjoyed doing together. So just for the fun of it we would purchase a piece of used furniture here and there to restore and see if we could sale it. Little did we know our fun was going to spill over into our back yard down the hill and to the left to Jt’s race truck shop...Yep we had to have more space to feed out new addiction to painting and building furniture. All those car(s) parts and mechanic tools had to be replaced with carpenter tools, paint glaze stain sanding paper ...( in some of our earlier pictures you will see Jt’s old Belair in the background where we were painting all around it) What started out as a project to a hobby to a part time business has turned in to more than we ever could have ever dreamed. Lol..... well I dreamed I think between me and Pinterest sometimes Jt might consider it a nightmare .He is now known as Mr Honey Do. He thought he was going to come home and retire.Well he came home  .We have been blessed with over 24000 followers on our Facebook page an awesome customer base. We thank the good Lord for his many blessing things couldn’t have ever fell into place as they have without him. I still work a full time job 5 days a week and help out in the shop at nights and on the weekends. We are a mom and pop team. We plan on doing The Honey Do This as long as there are folks out there that like our work and the good Lord so choose to allow us to do it. If your ever in our neck of the woods and (yes we are what some folks call a fer piece in the woods) stop by and see us. We would love to have you visit us!!! Well for now this is our story I sure hope to give you more chapters of it over time. Until may God bless you and yours .

This poor chest was just a dull plain Jane white. With all the pretty detail on the piece we knew we could give her love and the glory she deserved. We first give her a fresh clean coat of yes my favorite General Finish Linen milk paint. We then used General Finishes Burnished pearl effects to show case all the beautiful details. A coat of valspar antiquing wax to give the gold tones of the pearl effect  a earthtone warm glow  She now has a new bling to add to her theme.

Country farm life

We build this beautiful rustic farm table out of knotted pine. We then gave the bare wood a couple of heavy coats of General Finishes Linen milk paint. We laid out the design for our plank effects on the top of the table. We used a paint brush and General Finishes Gray gel stain wiping in one direction to get the top a rustic old wood look. We then used CeCe Caldwell's Kukui stain and finish to enhance the gray and to shade each section to give it the look of individual planks of wood. We then sanded while our stain was still sticky again dragging in one direction.
