Green Chalk-Painted Desk Makeover

By Fallon_Market House Restorations, Owner at Market House Restorations, LLC in Salem, VA.

This desk was all-kinds-of-falling apart, but I was determined to make it functional and beautiful again because my client's mother used it as her vanity! <3 I don't use chalk-style paint a lot, but I loved this color and felt like it was the perfect fit for her style. After I fixed everything, I painted the base with the color, Cartouche Green, by Amy Howard at Home. I highlighted it with GF Van Dykes Brown Glaze and added new hardware to match. I also fixed, cleaned and sanded down the top and stained it with GF Java Gel. The whole piece was sealed with GF HPTC in Flat.
