A flaming blush

By karensue at Shabby with a Shimmer in ZELIENOPLE, PA.

I gave this antique desk a new life by first stripping the top, side and drawers. I brought the flame mahogany veneers to life by re staining in minwax jacobean and poly urethaned in minwax semi gloss. The frame i painted in a custom blush color mixing 3 parts debbie dyi crinoline with 1 part french chic romance. Sealed the paint with minwax poly acrylic and hi-lited the filigree with rose gold and gold gilding wax. The original brass drawer pulls were cleaned and reattatched while new crystal knobs were placed on the center drawer.
