This curvy 3 Drawer Bombay Chest has been hand painted in layers of General Finishes Milk Paint, Pearl Effects, Glaze Effects and High Performance Top Coat to create a finish I call "Knights Armor".  

I acquired this piece from a local hotel that was replacing their furniture. It had so much detail, I just couldn't resist it!

This Buffet was done in one of my most popular finishes, aged metallic pewter with a rich, dark stained top. After sanding and staining the top in a rich Java Gel Stain, layers of primer, metallic silver paints, glaze and top coat are applied to achieve this look, the final product is well worth it and a total show stopper! Perfect modern statement piece for any home!

This poor chest was just a dull plain Jane white. With all the pretty detail on the piece we knew we could give her love and the glory she deserved. We first give her a fresh clean coat of yes my favorite General Finish Linen milk paint. We then used General Finishes Burnished pearl effects to show case all the beautiful details. A coat of valspar antiquing wax to give the gold tones of the pearl effect  a earthtone warm glow  She now has a new bling to add to her theme.

Oh this finish... creating this finish on this piece was my introduction to Pearl Effects and metallic paints and it's got me hooked.  I'd love to take all the credit for the idea, but I had a good friend (who's always pushing me to try new things) send me a sample board of something similar and asked me to give it a try.  At first I wasn't too sure about paint, making a piece actually look like metal, nor did I see how I could make it work.  But then I did some research into real hammered copper and the amazingly beautiful looks you can achieve with it and I got inspired.

This romantic vanity is now available. She's originally from the art deco era in the 1920's and I've embellished her up to be quite a jewel.   The drawer fronts, sides, and applique have been painted in an iridescent champagne paint accenting the bright white vanity. Four deep drawers provide storage for your personal things and a padded little seat tucks up under the center when not in use.

This once oak dining set got a major makeover and was transformed into a chic and modern focal piece of the kitchen. Table base and chairs where done in General Finishes Antique White and the table top was refinished in several layers of metallic silver paints and pitch black glaze. All pieces where completed with multiple layers of High performance top coat.

This gorgeous Thomasville piece was plucked out of our unfinished inventory and customized to fit our clients style.  She liked the lighter gray tones, and really wanted something with a sparkle!  We used 2 parts Seagull Gray and 1 part Champagne Pearl to give the base the slightest bit of sparkle and glazed all of the detail with Argentine Pearl.  We then mixed a 1:1 ratio of  High Performance Semi gloss and Champagne Pearl effects to add another layer of sparkle with a final coat of HP Semi  Gloss to finish it off.  It really turned out to be a stunning piece!

This ole gal was so sad and missing a mirror. With lots of luck one was found and now "Isn't  she Lovely"❤The entire thing was cleaned and old finish sanded off the top. Vanity and mirror painted in General Finishes Driftwood then white washed in in pure white and wiped off but left in crevices. Then the bling begins!!! Foil adhesive applied randomly on edges, legs and designs so that the silver leaf looks like it is peeling off. Amazing!!!!

This vintage set if Drapers was in much need of a face lift. Pearl Effects and HPTC were the perfect bling to finish it off. Hand painted Argentine effects in the details to restore it to the beauty it once was.

This French Provincial Buffet got a rich and glamorous makeover, painted in a deep gray, glazed in black, and silver metallic highlights throughout. The hardware was done in a two-tone finish of metallic silver and black glaze  to bring out its gorgeous detail. Top was stained in a custom mix of Java and Black Gel Stain, entire piece sealed in High Performance Top Coat Satin!

This gorgeous piece marries a traditional shape with a unique "melted copper" modern rustic look, perfect for adding visual interest to any space! Two coats of General Finishes Coastal Blue were applied for a classic allover navy, and the Copper Pearl Effects were brushed with an upward stroke to varied heights for maximum visual impact with tons of dimension. Coastal Blue milk paint is the perfect deep navy, and pairs beautifully with Copper Pearl.

I mixed Snow White and evening plum to get this fantastic shade of pink. Glazed with champagne pearl effects and finished it with HPTC in satin. 

This vintage waterfall vanity got the ultimate glam makeover!! I painted the entire vanity and chair in Rustoleum Metallic Sterling Paint and sealed with several layers of General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Satin. I "upped" the glamour with mirrored tile detailing, crystal knobs, luxurious faux fur fabric on the chair and lined the drawers in a metallic silver print paper!  This was a true one of a kind piece!

This French Provincial dresser was Refinished in a mix of Sterling silver and pewter metallic paint, it was glazed in black with flat black painted hardware and sealed in High Performance Top Coat Satin!

This massive, outdated dresser was going to a baby nursery to serve as a changing table.  It was painted with Behr paint turned into chalk paint in a happy color called Sugar Poppy.  A few of the original knobs were replaced with new crystal knobs, but most were cleaned and I applied Rub 'N Buff in Gold Leaf to make them pop and add some class.  The entire dresser was top coated with three coats of General Finishes High Performance Top Coat Flat.  

This is my adaptation of a ca. 1870 Bellamy Eagle.

It is based on John Halley Bellamy's famous eagles carved in Kittery, Maine and Portsmouth, NH in the late 1800's.

I finished it with genuine 24k Gold-leaf and General Finishes 'Exterior 450 Water Based Clear Varnish'.

Originals sell at auction for $500,000-600,000!

This ornate entry table just begged for a special touch to bring out all the details!  A custom mix of GF persimmon and coral crush Milk paints on the body were complimented by a mix of dark chocolate milk paint, and bronze and copper pearl effects on the top. After this stunning mix was painted on the top and dried, then copper pearl effects were dry brushed along the top and edges. After a heavy glaze of Van Dyke brown in the ornate details, then copper pearl effects were added along the highlights of the details. We think this stunning piece says, "welcome to our home".

The 2 end tables were first painted with a DIY dark gray chalk paint. The 2 chairs were painted with DIY medium gray. Then they all were dry brushed with metallic silver and glazed with General Finishes lamp black mixed with glazing medium. . All were then finished with General Finishes High Performance in Satin. The cushions were upholstered in a gray/ white design fabric.

This little table was fun to do! I call iy Gatsby for hopefully obvious reasons. Blue chalk paint with gold highlights that make the details pop!

This GORGEOUS credenza features our newest finish called the "Abstract Gold Leaf". Showcasing AUTHENTIC 24 KARAT GOLD LEAF, this exquisitely unique design is inspired by the beautiful gold leaf paintings normally seen on canvas today.

Since I absolutely love creating designs that intergrate a "Modern Marries Rustic" style, I decided to give it a go and tried to recreate this artistic painting technique on furniture. 

A great couple bought a coffee table of mine. They mentioned they were looking for BIG nightstands. Mr. was intrigued by an unpainted Bombay Chest I had. "Two of those would be great!" He said. A tough order finding two I thought. Two months later I spotted one. It wasn't a perfect match but very similar. I sent the pics to my Mr and Mrs and waited to hear their thoughts. They were ok with eclectic but as Mrs said, "we're not weren't sure we like the wings on the side". I agreed and then looked closer. The two Chests did match!

This French Provincial dresser transitioned from blah to bling after multiple layers of finish. Including the primer, this stunning piece has 12 layers of finish!

I got this color, Sapphire, by Wise Owl, as a prize in a contest. I knew I wanted to pair that with something bright, just didn't know exactly what!

The sexy curves of Bombay chests are always appealing to my eye so when I saw this one, I wanted to turn it into a beauty.  I wanted to try the "water color" blending technique I had watched a tutorial on so I gathered a few colors I thought would look good together.  As soon as they went on the plate, it spoke to me.  It was "heavenly" so I decided to name this piece, "Angel".

Inspired by the tranquil waters of the sea and the mythical Mermaids that swim in them, this vintage wardrobe was given a Mermaid style makeover.  Like most little girls, my daughter Charlotte likes everything sparkly and she is especailly fond of Mermaids these days.  It was no surprise to me when she said she wanted me to paint this wardrobe, to be used in her bedroom, "like a Mermaid".  My goal was to create a finish that would satisfy her Mermaid craving, but that would also grow with her and her future tastes.  

Rusty Galvanized Tin Buffet.

I fall in love with pieces with curves. If they have dings, scratches and dents I love them even more. I paint my pieces to enhance the imperfections. Which is why I decided to do a rustic, galvanized tin finish. 

A base coat of General Finishes Slate Gray Chalk paint with dry brushed General Finishes Argentine Pearl Pearl Effects and touches of General Finishes Copper Pearl Effects did the job! I sealed the buffet with General Finishes High performance Satin Top Coat.  

Okay, so it's not famous, but it should be! From its humble, guttersnipe Eliza Doolittle beginnings, this dresser was transformed with the help of General Finishes products into the classy My Fair Lady! 

We took our cue for refinishing this coffee table by the incredible shape it has. We first attached the paintable wallpaper to the wide band around the table. The entire table was then painted in General Finishes Antique White. We could have stopped there, but we are all about the details. We added nickel nail heads to add a little bling. The table is now Ovaliscious!

I blinged this highboy out with a metallic gold body, then painted the drawers in a thick layer of gold flaked paint. Then sealed with arm top coat. I wish I could show how much sparkle this longed out Dresser really has! 

I bought this bureau from a friend of a friend. It had been his grandmother's and was passed down to him after she passed away. He'd recently moved to my area and while moving to a new place, this was stored at a buddy's house, but got left out in the rain. It suffered from water damage and somehow, a broken toe on one of claw feet. He'd given it up as a lost cause. I promised to give him first right of refusal after I finished it, since I knew it held sentimental value to him. 

I updated this 1940's swivel mirrored vanity w/ a custom mix of General Finishes Milk paint (50/50 Driftwood & Antique White & a bit of Halcyon Blue) Adding GF Extender to  silver glaze to give longer  working time.  Finished it off with GF Top Coat in Semi Gloss 

Our clients wanted a statement piece so we painted this in Tuscan Red milk paint with Tawny Pearl effects to bring the details out. We stained the top with Java gel stain for a dark contrast against the red. The combination of these products turned out wonderfully! 

This STUNNING french provincial style sideboard is manufactured by the popular BROYHILL furniture company and has been refinished in our new "OLYMPIC" finish. The undercoat consists of a mixture of General Finishes Antique White and Seagull Gray Milk paint. The next coat is a random blending of metallic silver and gold paint. Select areas have been heavily sanded to expose the orginal wood and to seemlessly tie in a warm and rustic feeling.

This Dixie modern mid century was painted in general finishes linen milk paint, and then burnished pearl effects of the drawer fronts, Argentine on the tops and sides.  I protected the piece with general Finishes high performance flat top coat 

At first we painted this chest in Key West Chalk Style Paint then we decided it needed a little more. Champagne pearl effects was the perfect product and added just the right amount of bling! 

This dresser has been refinished with a beautiful "One of a Kind" hand - painted BLINGED OUT feather design.  Glamorous embelishments such as sequence, iridescent glaze, glitter, and rhinestones are featured throughout the motif. General Finishes Antique White was used to outline the feather design and fun zentangle doodles have been hand drawn and painted with various colors. The entire piece sealed with a Gloss Spray varnish.

A variety of paints from multiple manufacturers were used to transform this worn out vintage eyesore to a devinely shimmering sideboard! The final coats of General Finishes Champagne Pearl Effects gives this piece a unique linen-like angel glow. This piece would be perfect in a wedding venue, winery, country hotel or right in your dining room! 

 Grayish-blue with silver highlights and pulls that make me happy. Can be used as a buffet, console table,sofa table, entryway table etc. Heavy piece- great construction.

This dresser has been named Tamatoa, because it's --Shiny-- It is made by Broyhill and painted in Wise Owls Neptune with pearl glaze from Dixie Belle, distressed lightly, and sealed with General Finishes top coat! "It's beautiful baby!" 

These two nightstand are elegant, yet not overstated.  Painted in GF Seagul Gray and a custom mix medium gray.  I exaggerated the braided detail in metallic silver.  The transformation took these from boring to beautiful.  

This has to be the most well made piece of furniture I have worked with. Made of 100% solid hard White Ash. One drawer alone weighs a ton! A beautiful Sage green with silver accents. Can be used as a dresser or storage in the bathroom, dining room etc.

This finish was inspired and created in anticipation of the Solar Eclipse of 2017.  Like the upcoming celestrial event,  warmth and light shimmer through darkess at varying degrees across the surface.  The circular design on the doors of this 1920's Art Deco Buffet mimic the sun and moon making it the perfect selection for this project.  General Finishes Milk Paint in Klein Blue was applied as a base coat to create depth.   One coat of General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Satin was then applied as a slip coat for the subsequent layers.

This lovely pair of tables would make a statement in any home. The metallic finish brings just that little touch of bling that every home needs. Tops were painted Queenstown Gray and then finished with Argentine Pearl Effects with touches of Bronze & Tawny.  The legs and apron were done with Lamp Black Milk Paint

This was the first piece we decided to try Pearl effects on since it has a nice serpentine front. It is painted in Bone White Chalk Style Paint then top coated with Enduro Satin clear poly. Finally we glazed it with Champagne Pearl effects. The shimmery curves of this piece against the dark hardware make it one of our favorites! 

After removing the seat and decorative hardware, the chair was swept and hard surfaces cleaned with a 50/50 solution of denatured alcohol and water. The wood portions of the chair were lightly sanded using 220 grit. The wood portion sere primed with Zinsser BIN Primer. The upholstered back of the chair was dampened with wate. The chair was painted with General Finishes Persian Blue Milk Paint. I dry brushed Argentine Pearl Pearl Effects over the surface of the chair. Topped with High Performance Top Coat in Satin.  The seat of the chair was recovered with faux fur fabric and reattached.

'Lucy' was a true labor of love. Using a flashy hot pink amd GF Pearl Champagne Effects Galzed lightly for sparkle finished off with GF High Performance Top coat buffing with 400 sand paper to increase the gloss finish. 

We wanted to add some bling to the details on this buffet so we thought Champagne Pearl Effects would be the perfect touch. First we sanded down the top and stained it using Java gel stain. Next painted it in Antique White and top coated it using Enduro satin clear poly. Finally we added champagne pearl effects and oh my it turned out beautifully! 

Client wanted to add some Glitz to her daughters room by glamorizing a plain white vanity. This piece was in good condition, so all that was needed before I started painting, was a good cleaning and light sanding to scuff surface and primed. Entire exterior was sprayed with Lamp Black milk paint then edges were painting with Modern Masters Metallic Gold and then foiled. Crackle texture and black Glaze were used before spraying entire piece with GF High Performance Top coat with Mica Powder added for that little extra kick.

The sides of the box were first covered with gold, turquoise and copper gold-leafs. I then painted the gold leafs with copper, metal-reactive paint, leaving sections of the gold leafs exposed. I sprayed the surface with blue and green patina sprays, sprinkled some some iron paint and then sprayed with Rust activator. 

The remainder of the box was painted with General Finishes Patina Green milk paint. I put additional turquoise gold-leaf on a few spots over the milk paint. I applied gold gold-leaf to the trim areas of the doors and drawers. 

This elegant server has been handpainted in my custom chalkpaint recipe using Sherwin Williams TriCorn Black. I stained all exposed wood in French Roast. In order to  enhance all of the carved wood detail; I used 18k gold leaf to make this beauty drop jaws. General Finishes High Performance Top Coat has been applied in several layers to ensure a long lasting and durable finish!

This French Provincial Buffet/Dresser was painted in a "greige" (gray/beige) color, with metallic silver highlights. I added shading with black glaze and sealed in satin High Performance Top Coat. The inside drawers have metallic stripe detailing to give it an added touch of Glam!
