You'd never believe that this beautiful cabinet was pulled from the trash compactor at the county dump! After some serious repair and a little love, it has new life and purpose. To get this look, I repaired doors and woodwork, filled, sanded, and wiped clean then went over the whole piece with General Finishes Walnut Gel Stain. I did a light coat of High Performance Top Coat then brought out the details with some Winter White Glaze. Once the glaze was dry, I sealed with High Performance Satin for extra durability. Lastly, I replaced the broken hardware with some beautiful milk glass knobs to accent the Winter White Glaze.
This once discarded piece now sits in my hallway, holding precious family heirloom quilts and linens. It makes me smile every time I walk by.
