This buffet is amazing in structure and needed an equally amazing finish to bring it into the 21st century home. The beauty of the original wood veneer was too pretty to paint so the rest of the piece was lightened up using a dreamy, layered watercolor finish. Yellow, blue and green paints were wet and dry layered followed by a color wash in teal to bring it all together and enhance the layered paints. After finishing with a hand rubbed wax finish to impart that beautiful glow and adding a touch of aging cream (on the body) this piece now takes center stage. To add additional protection on the top of the buffet, High Performsnce Top Coat in Satin was applied.
