Rustic Anaglypta

By Melissa Flippin, Owner/Artist at Flippotential Custom Finishes in Wheelock, TX.

This vintage cabinet was in poor shape and missing a drawer when it was rescued from the land of misfit furniture.

I used two old sewing machine drawers to fill the missing drawer space.  I then decoupaged anaglypta to the front of the drawers and the door.  I also lined the drawers with arrow fabric.

I painted the body and the inside of the cabinet in General Finishes Snow White milk paint. I painted the top and the drawers with Annie Sloan Paris Grey Chalk Paint.

I used Modern Masters iron Paint and Rust Activator to highlight the details on the Anaglypta.

Next, I mixed GF High Performance Top Coat Satin with GF Driftwood milk paint to create an aged effect and to seal the entire  project.
