The Cryin', The Glitch, and The Wardrobe

By Cindy Collins, Owner, Designer at Romancing the Home at Queen of Hearts Antiques and Interiors in Buford, GA.

Lots of cryin' over this one! Its sheer size was daunting, but I knew it had promise and lots of potential.  Trying to keep my eye on the prize, I forged on only to hit "the Glitch"...damaged veneer on the outside and inside!  (And did I also mention how big it was???.)  I removed the damaged veneer (and had considerable luck doing so) on the outside.  I was able to sand and paint over the area in Linen Milk Paint . The removal of the veneer on the inside, however, didn't go so well.  With a splintered and uneven finish, I opted to line the entire interor in fabric.   The beautiful, creamy linen finish with a dark glaze combined with the fabric-lined interior gave new life to this wardrobe!  The entire piece was top coated to perserve the perfection.
