I wanted to do something really dramatic and create a one-of-a-kind custom ottoman coffee table for a friend. I took a boring old wood coffee table and drew out the incredible details with General Finishes milk paint and glazes, and then upholstered the top with a gorgeous fabric and tufted it with handmade buttons! I also painted a tray to match, and decoupaged the fabric onto the wood and added some silver handles. This makes the ottoman more functional as a table, because the tray can be removed when needed and blends seamlessly.
