As soon as I spied this dresser in my local St. Vincent De Paul thrift store I fell in love with her. She was sporting lots of wear including chipped veneer and a broken mirror but her dainty legs, pretty hardware and detail along the bottom gave me plenty of character to work with. I don't usually gravitate toward the shabby chic look, but I couldn't really imagine this dresser in any other way.
Bright and cheery, Matilda makes a statement. Mustard yellow paint, dark glaze and some gentle distressing give this lovely antique dresser a bold, beautiful aged appearance and the update she needed.
