I live by the ocean so a lot of my pieces are usually inspired by the beach. When I first started working on this gal, this is not what I had envisioned but sometimes as I work on a piece, it speaks to me. Her soul wanted to be seen in all of the shipwrecked beauty she lived so that is what I did. Base color of Inglenook, then Glacial and then tons of dry brushing and custom colors for her top to give her that driftwood look. I highlighted around her hardware and heavily distressed her to match her soul. I added a metallic copper wax to her at the very end because she was "missing" something. That shine that an old soul still possesses! I reupholstered her bench to match the color scheme.
