This 1940’s Jacobean style China Hutch just oozes old world charm that suggests a history full of many interesting stories to tell. I hand painted this unique beauty with a custom layering technique of paint blending to create a one of a kind finish. This look was achieved using paint only... no tinted waxes of any kind were utilized for this particular piece. I first gave it a base coat of a French Linen color and used a painters knife to add in layers of black and just a hint of rose then layered in various shades of white. This is a very time-consuming process due to not getting to paint broad strokes with a paint brush- this finish was acheived one tiny paint application at a time. The end result is well worth the time... after all, art does not punch a clock. The finish is Protected with a clear wax.
