Queenstown Coffee Table Set

By Courtney Cole, Owner at Twig & Thyme Design in Sterling, VA.

This outdated set received a full on makeover with painted and glazed bases, and freshly stained tops. We began this makeover by cleaning and prep sanding the surface for paint. We stripped and sanded the tops and stained them in Varathane Sunbleached stain. We sprayed the bases in layers of General Finishes a Queenstown Milk Paint, sanding between each for a smooth and flawless finish. We then created the perfect grey glaze by mixing General Finishes Pitch Black and Winter White Glaze Effects and applied it in a pinstriping technique in all of the details. Each piece was finished with several coats of High Performance in Flat for added protection.
