Since I live in Kilkenny, one of the most successful hurling counties in Ireland I felt it was time I did "One for the Cats". The Kilkenny colours are black & amber so I took the opportunity to use one of my favourite General Finishes colours Lamp Black coupled with copper pearl effects for the amber.
I painted the desk and drawers in GF Lamp Black. Then I gave the top drawer a number of coats of copper pearl. I ponsed the leather top with the copper pearl over the black to give a slightly metal effect. I then stenciled the drawer sides with GF wood stain in Espresso. I cleaned and re-used all original drawer pulls. A couple of coats of GF high performance top coat in flat and we are ready to play.
