Wisconsin isn't exactly coastal, but we sure do love our water. Our "coast" is our lakes, and we have a lot of them here in the midwest. With so many activities centered around lake living, it's easy to see why lake themed decor is so popular in our homes.
This dresser was just plain jane brown and forgotten about. But it had good bones and was made well. It just needed a little love to make it stand out.
After cleaning and prepping the piece, I just simply gave it two coats of General Finishes chalk style paint in midnight blue. It's finished in Valspar sealing wax. Sometimes less is more. Now this beauty will stand out for years to come.
