This mid century sideboard was a true work of Love. I have created it for my very dear sister that lives back in Poland. She loves mid century furniture but she couldn't find anything that would go in her scandi bedroom.
I found this poor old sideboard for her , one of the drawers was damaged and it really needed some love. We started by drawing ideas as colour was set from the begining - soft, light coral pink that would go with soft greys, natural woodand metallic elements in her bedroom.
You have to know one thing about my sister - she is a mountain climbing enthusiast and she visits Tatra Mountains at least once a month.
And that was my starting point - two mountain peaks.
As I could't find pink that would suit the project I decided to mixed my own - I used Coral Crush, linen and some ochra pigment. whole piece has been sanded, primed with GF base coat and painted in my customm pink, pumice stone from Fleetwood and... two different Copper Leafs .I used GF satin hight performance varnish to seal it all.
I used some Next wallpaper to line drawers and insides of the cabinets.
Just today that sideboard started it's 2000 km journey back to Poland and I can't wait to see how it look inside my sister's house. Hopefully she will snap some photos and I will upload them here.
