General Finishes

I wanted to update this desk to a more contemporary feel.  I hope I achieved that.  I painted the entire desk and matching chair in my favorite navy color, Coastal Blue.  Next I wanted to add a design to the sides, so I found a beautiful striped fabric that looked gorgeous against the blue of the desk.  After I decoupaged the fabric to the sides, I made a wood frame to put around the fabric; that way the edges are nice and crisp. I sprayed the hardware in gold to match the gold feet.  The fabric on the sides can also be found on the pullout keyboard tray and in the drawers as liners.  Any office would love to have this set.
