Live Edge Cedar End Table

By Mr. Matt, Owner/Designer/Woodworker at Mr. Matt Woodworks in Murfreesboro, TN.

This little beauty was made from the first wood milled by a family member's new Alaskan chainsaw mill.  After this little pith slab submitted to flattening and stabilization with a little epoxy, it was cut into thirds and laminated into a small table top.  From there it was finished off with four coats of General Finishes Arm-R-Seal (Semi-Gloss).  The instructions advised three coats were recommended, but I was having so much fun (first time using this product) I decided to add another! Between each coat I gave the table top a sensual massage with some steel wool.  With all burrs gone, that fourth coat went on and touching it after curing brought a tear to my eye.
