General Finishes

The standard honey oak cabinets in the very dated kitchen of a friend were in desperate need of a makeover. I decided to try General Finishes Enduro in a custom color and, let me tell you, I was not disappointed!! To start this project, the ugly tile was removed, walls painted, and then we got to work on cleaning those cabinets. I cleaned them 3 times to be exact! Beautiful cabinets are only as good as the prep! After they were cleaned, they were given a complete sanding. Zinsser 123 primer for glossy surfaces was used and tinted gray to match the paint color. I used 2 coats and sprayed it on. I followed the primer with Enduro White Poly Satin which was custom tinted and used my Homeright Finish Max Sprayer. Since I painted the front and back of the doors, I loved that the Enduro could be recoated in an hour. The finish was professional and looks awesome!
