Groovy MCM End Tables

Groovy MCM Matching End Tables

The matching tables were very solid, and clearly a beautiful hard wood. But… they were tired, tired, tired. A thorough cleaning and sanding with #120 and #220 sandpaper prepared them for stain. I wanted to give a nod to their MCM heritage and use some color. GF Dye Stain were the answer. The table sides were stained in GF Cinnamon Dye Stain. The Table back and drawers got a layer of Amber Dye Stain with another application of Pewter Dye Stain over the top. I felt like the vibe was ‘right on.’ The table shelf, top edge and legs were finished in Dark Brown Dye Stain. Pretty! As a final touch, I sanded the top edges and shelves and went back over the top edge and shelf with Cinnamon to brighten the finish a bit.

Very Groovy!
