This French Provencial Dresser was in a desperate need of a makeover. I played around with the grays in the GF line and none of them spoke to me so I decided to create my own. I used a 50/50 mix of Snow White and Lamp Black. This gave me just the balance I was looking for. Once the dresser was painted, I knew it still needed that little extra push to give it that “wow” factor so I decided to glaze the entire piece with Pitch Black glaze. I love how it turned out! And of course we need to protect this sweet princess, so she received three coats of HPTC in satin. I normally stick with flat when I use paint but I wanted this one to shine. When I purchased this piece, she was lacking hardware. I could have picked up something cheap at a local hardware store, but I wanted to replicate what the original piece would have had, so I found the exact type I needed at D.Lawless Hardware without breaking the bank. All in all, I think she looks terrific.
