This lovely lady required complete stripping prior to painting. This revealed all the fabulous nooks and crannies. The dresser was painted 3 coats of Cyberspace gray. After looking at the dresser, decided she needed something more. Made a custom black glaze with Behr Faux Glaze and applied to all the layers of mouldings French Provincial's are known for! What a difference it made!
Applied 4 coats of polyacrylic to seal and protect the dresser.
The original top was too damaged to save, so we used it as a template for a new top. The new top was sanded and stained with GF Java gel stain. 9 coats of MinWax polyacrylic was applied. We sanded after every 3rd coat. The end result was a finish that was as smooth.as butter!
