General Finishes

With so many online file storage options, more and more file cabinets are making their way to thrift stores and dumps. I found the perfect use for this one by turning into a mini buffet/ drink cart on wheels. I painted it Duck Egg Blue by Annie Sloan and sealed it with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Flat. I built the base from old fence posts and added casters to raise it up slightly. I then purchased a piece of thick plywood from Home Depot, cut it to fit the top and stained it in Special Walnut by Minwax. The deep drawers allow for lots of storage for tall vases and pitches which was exactly what I needed and adding some paint and wood elements gave it an elegant look that fit right in with my décor.
