Farmhouse Fresh Style Buffet

By Anne Amini, Owner, Operator at Amini Design Ashburn in Ashburn, VA.

These china cabinet bottom buffets make such great stand-alone pieces! This one, although solid wood and made by a great quality furniture company seemed to have seen better days and I knew I couldn't pass the opportunity by to give it a fresh farmhouse look that many people are decorating with these days. I used one of my favorite grays- GF Seagull Gray milk paint and lightly distressed around the edges and raised portions to give it that touch of age. The solid wood top was sanded down, given a slipcoat of mineral spirits and treated to my go-to stain - GF Antique Walnut.  These gorgeous handles from D. Lawless Hardware were the perfect finishing touch.  This totally transformed piece was sealed with my favorite top coat - High Performance in Satin.
