Did you ever dream of having a vanity like this when you were a little girl?! I DID!!!
Stored away in a family member’s attic, this beautiful vanity had been missing for years. Imagine my excitement when it was found and given to me to bring it back to life!
Pink and Gold is hot right now! I used AS Scandanavian Pink, mixed with Old White to create a blushing pink color. I sealed with clear and white waxes.
To give it an Old World feel, I applied Gold Leaf to the trim, legs and mirror. It needed a little something extra so I used IOD molds and paper clay to create the appliqués, painted in Old White. All the original knobs were replaced with gold and crystal pulls. To finish off this set, I recovered the bench in white, faux fur fabric.
I staged this piece with the perfect combo of pink, gold and turquoise accessories.
This fairytale vanity set is now owned by a four year old princess and will be enjoyed for years to come!
