General Finishes

This coffee table was a great yardsale find. I sanded everything down. Then I covered the top with white duck cloth & Mod Podged in on. Next I stenciled the compass pattern on in GF Lamp Black and then applied GF Java Gel Stain on top and wiped it so it would have kind of a weathered look. I then applied 2 coats of GF Satin top coat, sanding with 400 grit paper inbetween coats. Next I glued rope around the top edge and applied black decorative nail heads on the rope.Sanded the top again and applied 2 more coats of top coat. I painted the metal trim with GF Copper Pearl. Painted the base with GF Lamp Black and 2 coats of GF satin top coat. This would be a good addition to any living room or man cave.
