A friend gave me this builder oak colored, old TV armoire, and I first painted it in general finishes Persian blue. It was a bit bright for my kitchen, so I lightly distressed it, added the hand painted coffee logo with a permanent brown paint pen, then glazed with van dyke brown antiquing glaze, and finished by sealing with 2 coats of poly. *shew* a labor of love!!
It used to be a bland, dated looking TV armoire, but now it holds all our coffee deliciousness! We use it daily!
