Boho Triangle Dresser and night stand

By CMB World Designs, LLC, Owner in Fairfax, VA.

When I saw this pair I almost passed on them because of their condition but decided to give them LOTS of love and attention instead.  I actually decided on the design for these because of how amazing Java gel can be at helping to cover up some imperfections!  The walnut on these Mid Century pieces are beautiful but are veneeer so can be tricky with repairs and patching.  This was the first dresser that I decided to do primarily Java gel stain on and I fell in love!  After sanding the piece completely down and adding wood conditioner the fun began.  With the help of careful measuring and frog tape I came up with this design.  There is almost nothing more satisfying then peeling that tape off and seeing that nice clean gel stain line from the Java gel applied with on entire piece (except triangles).  To apply Java Gel stain I use a foam brush and wipe off with lint free rags.  After waiting the required several days of drying time I sealed with my favorite wood poly, High Performance top coat in flat!  I used a paint sprayer.  They sold like hot cakes! :)
