Black Beauty
Exquisite Antique Vanity and Bench cir. est. 1920's This Black Beauty features General Finishes Lampblack paint double-sealed in Flat-Out-Flat Topcoat, with exceptions to top surfaces and drawer fronts. The rich mahogany is kissed with Black Stain, expressing the beautiful woodgrain below! Handmade appliques and textured side panels applied are accented with Black-Lustre Metallic-rub, which also graces the bottom turns of vanity and bench legs. Original wooden casters glide to assist placement of her stately weight. Drawers are fabric-lined matching the coordinating bench, enriched with new cooling-gel memory foam for a cozy stay. New glass knobs married to cast iron backplates, also painted and finished with Black-Lustre Metallic-rub for cohesiveness, complete this lady's attire. She was spared no attention to details!
But, woe was she! Each section was taken apart; meticulously sanded, cleaned, and repaired before adorning, painting, and reassembling. She was lonely without her little friend; additionally, used, abused, and tired. Beauty and Bench received their well deserved attention, the only thing remaining, was an appreciative Lady. Beauty was a secret First-Christmas gift to the wife of a loving husband. Now cherished, Beauty and Bench are showcased with love!
