Apothecary Chest from 1960's Kitchen Cabinet

By John Avolio in Canonsburg, PA.

I used this 1960's Kitchen Cabinet as the skeleton of this creation. I simply cut some White Oak "drawer Fronts" and applied them onto the old doors. I placed name plates and handles to each drawer front to make it look like an antique piece of furniture - but its really just two doors. I then stained the entire piece with Antique Walnut Gel Stain. I then used a piece of old barn wood as the top to provide a contrasting look.

Came out beutifully and love the way it looks in my office!
