This beautiful bow front dresser was a basement find, and if I didn't rescue this piece it would be left to rot or end up in the furniture graveyard (The Dump). After a good cleaning, removing the existing hardware, and carefully sanding the dresser I knew this piece needed a new stylish look, so I started with applying 3 coats of General Finishes Georgian Cherry Gel Stain to the top, sides, drawer fronts and mirror frame. Next I used General Finishes Black Gel Stain and applied 3 coats to the frame, and finished it all off with spraying 3 coats of GF High Performance Satin Clear. I spent many hours cleaning the brass hardware to make them all sparkle before reinstalling, and it shows in the beauty of this piece.
