What a fun bed! I loved the gorgeous curves and the majestic, regal look of this bed! Truly a bed fit for a queen! No matter who you are, you can appreciate the workmanship that went into this piece. You could take a bath, put on your robe, and sink into the plush, curvy gorgeousness of this bed! No wonder she sold in 4 days! We all like to be pampered sometimes!
This bed had major damage but after some wood putty sanding and a little help, she was prepped and ready to go! I started out with Wise Owl /Vintage Duck Egg and painted the raised appliqués with a warm cream paint by Designer in You/ Grandma’s Pearls.. I found that I do better painting the body or the flat part, then coming back and painting the raised appliqués. I added patina with Annie’s Sloan dark wax! I sealed the whole bed, of course, with General Finishes High Performance Topcoat!
Who wouldn’t want to kiss goodnight in this romantic setting! Just sayin!!!!
