I have always dreamed of owning a china hutch and purchased this 1942 solid mahogany china hutch at a thrift store. It was badly damaged and beyond the prospect of a restoration; however, I knew that with the help of General Finishes products I could bring it back to life. After sanding, cleaning, and completing the repairs, I painted it using General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint on the drawer/door fronts and inside the top half and mixed a custom color of 1 part General Finishes Patina Green Milk Paint and 3 parts General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint for the body. I highlighted the moldings around the Antique White with DecoArt Rich Espresso Metallic Paint. Inside the top "drawer" is a desk that I painted with General Finishes Dark Chocolate Milk Paint. Everything was sealed with 3 coats of General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Satin. I love how it turned out and will be filling it with my growing collection of vintage milk glass pieces.
