I really wanted a pop of color for this buffet I created and when I found General Finishes water based stain in cranberry red, I knew it was the one. I stripped the old stain off the top of this dresser and then sanded it down and added a wood conditioner so the stain would take evenly. I then quickly applied the cranberry red stain in long even strokes and wiped it off with a towel. I let the stain dry and then I used one coat of the General finishes tough coat in satin.
