Hi. I am a furniture upcycler and first dabbled in painting furniture back in the early 1990's.

After many years of working in the corporate sector, moving from the UK to Ireland and raising two children, I reignited my love for painting again. I love to refresh tired looking furniture that is well built but just in the need of updating to current trends and styles.

I love to work with different products and try designs that are a little different to the norm. My own style is probably along the lines of traditional and classic. I love to see wood and paint together that shows a timeless, classic look.

Grain Sack Inspired Bedroom Furniture

By Beverley at Revamped in Drogheda, LH, IE

Winning Category

This modern bedroom furniture is only 10 years old, but came to me looking rather unloved and in a dark cherry finish.

So that the items would compliment each other without being identical and overpowering in the same room, the tallboy was given a crisp, grain sack design. This was achieved using Driftwood Milk Paint slightly lightened with the primary pale cream colour. Set against the light finish on the body, the stripes are eye-catching and the design can be teamed with accessories to either match a modern room or one of rustic charm.

Ornate and Elegant Linen Cabinet

By Beverley at Revamped in Drogheda, LH, IE

Winning Category

This butch pine cabinet required a much needed revamp, but with a difference to soften it's masculine look.

Hand-made clay moulds were created and applied to add detail to the drawers, top arch, sides and even the chunky door hinges. Once secured and the unit primed, the exterior was finished in the smouldering shade of Queenstown Gray Milk Paint. Winter White Glaze was dry brushed over the moulds to accentuate the detail in them and bring an elegant, feminine charm to the exterior.
