This bench had a previous life as a bed frame and a tiger wood dining table. When I bought the head and foot board it was terribly painted (looked semi spray painted) in a cream color. The head and foot board were deconstructed and put back together to make the base of bench. I touched up the paint with Old Fashioned Milk Paint in the color of Light Cream because I didn't want the finish to be too perfect. A little sanding was done in places where there was too much paint and perfecion. Leaves from an old tigerwood table top were cut and used as the bench seat. To complete the bench, the table top seat was refreshed with a coat of General Finishes Gel Stain in Java.
