General Finishes

This project entailed refinishing a complete bedroom suite that had belonged to our client’s grandmother. While she loved the furniture and the memories it brought her, it was too heavy and dark for the decor in the home she and her new husband shared. We decided on a neutral gray palette. While painting all the pieces Driftwood Gray, I asked the client if I could try some fun detail with some new Pearl Effects I’d recently brought into the shop. She was excited to see what we might do. Not only did we add Argentine Pearl accent, but when we couldn’t find a match for a broken piece of hardware, we took the dated brass hardware, and some new replacements sourced on Etsy, and had them all sandblasted a powdercoated a dark bronze so all the hardware had the same finish.
