Grandpa’s Heirloom Chest

By The Charming Home St. Louis MO, Owners at The Charming Home in Fenton, MO.

This cabinet was made by our client’s father in law. He designed it to hold nuts, bolts and assorted tools in his shop. Now it holds art supplies and is kept in the dining room. It needed a complete makeover and our client was a stained top. The top was laminate and GF Gel Stain was the solution. We used Annie Sloan Old White on the body and distressed with GF Van Dyke Glaze on the edges. We sealed the paint with Minwax Polycrylic. We applied GF Antique Walnut Gel Stain on the top. We used GF Arm R Seal to seal the gel stain. Now this piece can be passed to the next generation.
