My name is Wendy and I LOVE to repurpose!! I started repurposing furniture about 4 years ago and what started as one small end table turned into a whole garage full of items!! Lucky for me my husband Brian is a real trooper and set up a whole work shop in one half of our garage for me, including allowing me to use his car hoist that he attached wood to so I could raise and lower it as needed!! I started out painting just for fun but then decided to try venturing out into the business world after attending a woman's business boutique. I didn't have a business name yet but discovered it at that seminar after listening to singer Ellie Holcomb sing her song The Broken Beautiful. I looked at my daughter and said I think I just found the perfect name! A little about me: I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 26 years and we have 3 children, 2 daughters and 1 son. Both my girls are married and I have 2 grandsons! I also have 1 dog and she is my mascot on my page, her name is Bella Blu and she loves to hang out with me in the workshop. When I'm not painting and repurposing my husband and I love to hang out at our cabin in the beautiful north woods of WI, watch my favorite football team the Green Bay Packers or spending time with the family!

This is probably one of the funnest tables I've refinished. Solid and heavy this round coffee table is refinished in a beachy salt wash finish with mutiple sun, sand and water colors mixed together to remind you that "Every Day is a Day at the Beach". I personally envision her out on the deck overlooking the lake with several muti colored adirondack chairs around it. --

Picked up this coffee table at a firemans flea market. It was wobbly and drab! I knew exactly how to spruce it up! After getting it completely solid I refinished the bottom in General Finishes Coastal Blue and sealed it with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat. The top and bottom shelf I made look like rustic wood plankes (thats right its not real wood!!) by using Wood Icing textura paste and Wood Icing Tree Bark and Licorice stain. Adding the nautical knob to the drawer tied it all together! Ahoy!!

This gorgeous cedar chest was a client of mines mothers who received it for a wedding present. My clients father had painted the chest white when he was in his 80's and was suffering from dementia. After the passing of her parents she inherented the chest and asked me to refinish it for her and she wanted it stained in a cherry color. I had never tried General Finishes Gel stains but thought I'd give it a go.

$7 Garage Sale blanket rack turned Veggie storage bin. Refinished this piece with General Finishes Patina Green and General Finishes Antique White. Gave her a good distressing then added the cute Farmers Market stencil using General Finishes Holiday Red, then sealed with General Finishes High Performanace Top Coat.
