Isabella's Inspirations

Furniture Painter & Designer at Isabella's Inspirations in Woodbridge, VA.

Hello! I wanted to share a bit about myself. My name is Emilie. Isabella is my middle name, hence the name Isabella's Inspirations. I am 17 and just finished my senior year of high school. I had been homeschooled since second grade. My business started just over a year ago, and I love every minute that I am able to spend designing, painting, and creating! I design rooms, shop for furniture and accessories for the rooms, and paint and stain furniture. My furniture pieces are custom work or pieces that I find and refresh. My creativity extends to makeup as well, and I love creating new looks and trying new products. I have a huge passion for swimming and have been on our local Lake Ridge Lancers swim team for 13 years. Thanks for reading about me, and I hope we can work together in the future to create something unique!

Transforming a Side Dish Table into a Main Course Masterpiece

By Isabella's Inspirations, Furniture Painter & Designer in Woodbridge, VA.

Is it easier for you to watch a demonstration video rather than read a 'how-to' article? I agree! That is why I decided to share a video on transforming a dark, traditional side table into a beautiful piece for a coastal-vibed family room. Once I knew this family room would take on a beach theme, General Finishes Persian Blue Milk Paint was the first color that I thought to use. This soft blue is reminiscient of an ocean view with the sun shining down and reflecting off the beautiful and endless blue waters.

Rustic Elegance with Country Charm -- Tale of a Tasteful Table

By Isabella's Inspirations, Furniture Painter & Designer in Woodbridge, VA.

The "Country Chic" style is increasingly popular! By using General Finishes products, it is easy to achieve this amazing look. I found a solid wood table with a matching bench at a local thrift store. The table top was scratched and stained with markers and paints. The bench and legs were painted with a now-faded forest green, a flashback to the 90's style in decor. I had a vision for this table and bench, and knew General Finishes products could help me transform these pieces from a thrift store tuck-away to a tasteful treasure.
