General Finishes

We have been trying to create this color since we started painting 2 years ago and after many failed attempts we finally feel like we have "The Perfect Turquoise."

This color is made up of 4 parts Snow White milk paint, 1/2 part Patina Green milk paint, and 1/4 part sunglow milk paint. 

The dresser is made by American of Martinsville and is the perfect piece to showcase the beauty of this color. The top is stained in Antique Walnut gel stain, the body painted in our custom blend of milk paints, and the details are glazed using Van Dyke Brown glaze effects.  

We painted this dresser using patina green milk paint. We distressed the edges and top coated it using Enduro Satin clear poly. We love patina green it adds the perfect pop of color to anything! 

This adorable small dresser was in need of a facelift and we gave it just that! We sanded the top down and stained it Java. We painted it in Persian blue milk paint and glazed it using Van Dyke Brown Glaze effects. It turned out better than we imagined! 

This beautiful French Provincial dresser was painted it Antique White Milk paint and top coated with Enduro Satin clear poly. 

This beautiful buffet was painted in Snow White milk paint and distressed over the details and edges. It was top coated using Enduro satin clear poly! We usually use antique white but love the brighter white on this piece! 

The details on this table top are absolutely gorgeous so we knew there was only one choice to bring them out and that was Java gel stain. We sanded down the top and stained it using Java. We top coated it using Enduro Semi gloss urethane. We painted the base of the table and chairs using Persian blue milk paint and slightly distressed them. Finally we top coated the chairs and base with Enduro satin clear poly. It turned out beautifully! 

We knew this old hutch would be perfect for a country chic kitchen. It is painted using Antique White milk paint and top coated using Enduro satin clear poly. For a catchy look we added some sparkly knobs! 

We painted this beautiful French provincial credenza in Persian Blue Milk Paint and stained the top using Java gel stain. To say we love this combination is an understatement! This piece makes a perfect media center and did we mention Persian blue may be our favorite color! 

We found this mahogany hutch that was no longer with its base and thought this would make a great bookshelf or media center. We added some bun feet to it and painted it using Snow White milk paint. We distressed around the edges and details and lets just say this piece was hard to let go of! 

We wanted to give this piece a classic look and what better way to do that than Antique white. Once we painted the server in Antique White we slightly distressed over the details and edges. For the top coat we used enduro satin clear poly. This one did not last long with all its beautiful lines and details. Our clients loved it and it looks beautiful in their new home! 

We couldn't help but use our favorite look on this beautiful Maddox secretary. We painted it in Antique white milk paint and used Enduro Satin clear poly to give it a gorgeous finish! We left the secretary portion the original finish to give a nice contrast when you opened it. Love how this piece turned out! 

We took this old china cabinet and repurposed it to be a children's armoire perfect for a nursery! We removed the doors, removed a shelf and added a hanging bar. The outside is painted in Snow White milk paint and distressed while the inside was given a pop of color of a custom mixed blue! 

We knew when we found this pair of nightstands we had to do something special to them. So first we sanded down the tops and stained them using Java gel stain. Then we painted them in Antique White and instead of distressing like we usually do we glazed them with Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effects. They are absolutely gorgeous and I see more pieces like this in our future! 

We couldn't help but go classic on this beautiful piece! First we sanded the top down and stained it using our favorite Java gel stain. Next we painted it using Antique white milk paint. Finally we gave it a gorgeous shine using Enduro Satin clear poly! Definitely one of our favorite pieces we've done lately! 

We wanted to add some bling to the details on this buffet so we thought Champagne Pearl Effects would be the perfect touch. First we sanded down the top and stained it using Java gel stain. Next painted it in Antique White and top coated it using Enduro satin clear poly. Finally we added champagne pearl effects and oh my it turned out beautifully! 

This was the first piece we decided to try Pearl effects on since it has a nice serpentine front. It is painted in Bone White Chalk Style Paint then top coated with Enduro Satin clear poly. Finally we glazed it with Champagne Pearl effects. The shimmery curves of this piece against the dark hardware make it one of our favorites! 

We wanted to do something out of our norm on this piece. So we thought a pop of color for this little side server was perfect. We painted it using Buttermilk yellow milk paint and then slightly distressed it. Finished it off with a coat of Enduro satin clear poly. This is the perfect little country chic piece! 

I have been wanting to refinish a dresser with this look and I finally found the perfect one! The frame of the dresser is painted in Antique White and the drawers stained with Java gel. There will definitely be more dressers coming with this look. I wanted to keep this one for us but our house is already full! 

The top of this table was sanded down and stained using Java gel stain. We painted the legs of the table and chairs in Antique White milk paint then slightly distressed them. Finally we added the perfect pop of color when we reupholstered the chairs and just love how everything turned out! 

At first we painted this chest in Key West Chalk Style Paint then we decided it needed a little more. Champagne pearl effects was the perfect product and added just the right amount of bling! 

Our clients wanted a statement piece so we painted this in Tuscan Red milk paint with Tawny Pearl effects to bring the details out. We stained the top with Java gel stain for a dark contrast against the red. The combination of these products turned out wonderfully! 

We took this old headboard and turned it into an awesome bench for our clients! Once we constructed everything it was time to finish it. The piece was painted in antique white milk paint and some distressing was done to accent the beautiful details. We stained the seat in Antique Walnut Gel Stain which provided the perfect contrast to the white. 

Can you believe these awesome tables were on the side of the road when we found them. What makes it even better is someone had already stripped them so they were ready to go. We wanted a pop of color to make the gold feet stand out and Charleton Blue was the perfect choice. We don't run across many mid century modern pieces and these make me wish we did!
