I used a unique staining process to create this impressive rose demilune table. I stripped and sanded the top and hand stained the double rose image onto the piece. I transferred the basic outline of the roses onto the table with transfer paper. Then, I layer the stain to create the depth and dimension of the roses. I finished off the design with approximately 8 coats of General Finishes High Performance Top Coat. I then wet sanded between the last 3 coats. I used a Liquitex brush to apply the GF HPTC with very light strokes to avoid streaks.
