This chest of drawers was another fixer-upper but I loved the unsual detailing and so had to have it.
I knew I wanted to do a wet distress but that was about it so I started by painting two coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (ASCP) in Old White and then just let the mood take me.
I hadn't used ASCP Paloma up until this point and I'd been dying to try it so I then applied two coats until the ASCP Old White was covered.
Now this was the messy bit, I made up a wash using ASCP Emile and very quickly brushed it all over the chest of drawers. Before it dried I took a damp cloth and rubbed where distress would naturally occur and did very soft distressing on the top and sides.
I let it dry for a couple of days and then I added Fusion Antique Glaze into the crevices and sealed it with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Satin.
Ta dah!
