General Finishes

Sometimes you have to just stop and paint something for yourself and that’s what this sign is all about. Although very simple in design, it holds an immense amount of memories folded into just a few words. My hubby likes to come up with “witty” phrases and this one stuck with us throughout the raising of five children. We made it through, pretty much unscathed, but the sign says it all. She is proudly displayed on our back porch atop of the porch swing where we spend a lot of time. I used a silhouette machine to create a stencil (I use contact paper because I’m too cheap to buy the real deal!) and used Antique White Milk Paint to fill in the stencil. Because it needed a little outdoor protection, I used an outdoor polyurethane for protection. She’s simple, but majestic to us
