This fabulous revived non-working grandfather clock had the internal pendulum and weights dismantled before then sanding down and a couple of holes filled. The glass was taped to avoid too many smudges on both sides. I then began by sponging on the first layer of Autentico's Code Blue Vintage Chalk Paint to get into all the nooks and crannies. I then applied 3 further layers of the Code Blue and each layer was gently sanded down to ensure a smooth finish in between coats. The internal casing was finished in Autentico Ice Cream Vintage Chalk Paint and 2 new glass shelves were fitted ensuring that they were large enough to hold my favourite tipple Prosecco!! Once I was happy with the coverage of the clock I then pencilled in the motif freehand and then painted the motif with the Ice Cream Chalk Paint used on the internal casing. It was then left to harden for a couple of days before I then gave it 3 layers of Autentico's Clear Wax. I also fitted a USB light to the top of the internal casing. Finally the clock hands were gently moved to just after nine......tipple time!! :)
