Who can forget the sexy, faded jeans George Michael wore in "Faith"!? I certainly never forget them! I set out to recreate this sexy, worn look on a furniture canvas. Using a blending technique with homemade chalk-type paint, I captured the depth of the details, and incrementally faded the color inward to add further "pop" to the raised detailing. This look was achieved with only 3 colors; Black Magic, Dress Blues, and Creamy, and further aged with some precision glazing with Van Dyke brown to add an almost undetectable aged look. You don't notice the glazing in the overall appearance, but without it you get the sense that "something is missing". There is art in subtlety!
