This gal came to me as a mid 60’s Philco stereo console, with none of her electronics in working order. I really wanted to restore her to full working order, but it was just cost prohibitive. She had one interesting feature that I have never seen in a stereo console before: a recessed copper cooler/tub. I knew when I redid her, that copper tub would be staying. Now she is ready to function as a buffet, media center/flat screen tv stand, or bar/beverage center. She is finished in shades of blue, with a raised copper design on the front, and copper finished hardware. The cabinet has 2 front cubbies and a large storage area behind the 2 center doors with 2 shelves and a rear opening for any electronic cords. In the top opening that used to house the original stereo components, there is now a roomy storage area that is fabric lined. The copper tub on the other side of the top was originally covered with a huge marble slab. I felt a wood cover would tie it in better with the rest of the cabinet and be more functional, so a wood top was fitted and finished for that half of the top.
