This table is the very first table I have ever built with no owner in mind. This was not a commisioned piece but rather just a test of not only my woodworking skills but also my sketch up skills! Everything was meticulously planned out over the course of about four months. The lumber was saved from off cuts and the extra boards added to my orders of black walnut over that time. The legs are made from solid 16/4 air dried black walnut, the top and stretchers are from my off cuts and etc. The table was finished with 5 coats of General finishes Arm R Seal. It is now a permanent fixture of my show room being a perfect example of another style of furntiure in a time when if it's not farmhouse or rustic its not "in". In the photos I have included a shot of the table blocked out, it took many dry assemblies to get it through the finish line but it was well worth the extra effort in the end.
